Here's one of them: Having a hard time processing this right now. The historic & beautiful St Jean Baptist’s parish in Morinville burned to the ground last night.

It's good to have an investigation into the graves, uncover any crimes committed, let the truth come into the light, and see both the good and bad of history as it is.
That being said, the violent arsonists and vandals burning down these churches aren't even the ones who would have been the victims of any alleged crime.

Lots of people died back then, especially indigenous folks. The churches took care of the sick and also respectfully buried the ones who died.
For this the worldly people think they have some cause against churches.
Both of my grandfathers served in WW2. The one who served in the Atlantic Theater had nothing but high praise for the Canadians he sometimes served beside. Evidently Canada today doesn't have a backbone left to fight totalitarianism.

On the US side of the border, thirty-two Christian (mainly Catholic) churches have been vandalized since January 1, 2021.
The vandalism has ranged from graffiti, beheading of sacred statues, trashing of church interiors, to significant arson.
Yes, this has gone unreported by the US press, television news,and even by elected officials. Unfortunately the woke Catholic bishops have been mute.

During the 1960’s I was on active duty with our Navy and in the reserves.
The Mid to late 1960’s was when our draft dodgers were flocking to Canada.

100% agree. The problem is not they were draft dodgers per se, but that they brought with them a very anti-US liberal mindset.
A math teacher in our school was invited to our history class one day, to talk about Vietnam, and was a draft dodger. I’m sure it wouldn’t surprise you that he had nothing good to say about America.
Keep in mind Christianity, outside the West, is facing persecution it really hasn’t seen since Roman Times. Rarely do we hear about it in the press, but attacks on Christians all over the middle east and persecution by the Chinese government.
Wonder how outraged the democrats would become if it was mosques being burned to the ground in America. We wouldn’t hear the end of it.
