Florida is requesting hundreds of ventilators from the federal government after a surge in COVID-19 across the state, according to a Department of Health and Human Services planning document obtained by ABC News affiliate Local 10.
The request was made on Friday for 300 ventilators “to replace expended state stores,” the document said.
It was not clear how the ventilators would be allocated but they were expected to arrive in the state on Monday, according to the outlet.
The request comes as Florida is seeing more coronavirus cases and hospitalizations as the delta variant spreads mostly among unvaccinated individuals.

Ventilators. A year and a half later and we’re still doing the very things that didn’t work the first time.
I guess it’s going to have to become an even more glaring failure of the vaccines before anyone can revisit effective early treatments like ivermectin. Or perhaps in 3 or 4 months Pfizer will have a “new” slightly molecularly different version of ivermectin that can be patented and sold for $120 a pill. Pfizermectin.

Slapping you onto a ventilator is a death sentence.
My wife and I had the CCP bioweapon virus in January/February of 2020 before it had a name and survived it without doctor visits or pharmaceuticals, and I have the IgG and IgM antibodies to prove it.
Thank God we were too dumb to run to the hospital so they could slap us onto ventilators for the $39,000 each.

It is both ignorant and untrue that we “slap” people on the ventilator. It is disgusting to suggest we do it for payment. It is clear that your statement continues to not understand the economics of health care or the current care rendered for the critically ill with CoVId.
Vent support is the absolute last measure we employ.
