RE: I suspect a lot of the military equipment has classified components that will also end up in Taliban hands.

Yes, And Russian, and Chinese hands... which will eventually be shared with the Iranians and North Koreans and the Pakistanis.

Left Behind: Billions in U.S. Equipment for the Afghanistan Taliban to Use Against... Us

Isn't just about all that military equipment we gave to the Afghan Army to use for its own defense? Were we supposed to take it back and bring it with us when we left?

Biden is a disgrace. He is putting Americans everywhere at heightened risk. He needs to shut down that Southern border NOW!!!

Eventually. Those things, even the Humvees, need lots of maintenance. I suspect that they could strip them down and have bootleg parts made for that major stuff.

But those things are pretty finicky. They won’t be useable for long.

The destruction of this military hardware prior to leaving should have been part of the departure plan.

They never game planned the various scenarios

1. destroy
2. leave a minimal presence
3. pull it all out so it wouldn’t fall into enemy hands

This all would be based on a real assessment of the readiness of the Afghans to fend for themselves.

Obviously not done with the immediate capitulation to the enemy.

But we’re suppose to consider turning our AR’s in because there are too many drive by shootings in $hit hole cities.

Irritates the hell out of me.

Our pols realize that most don’t care about what happens OUS , until it hits home on American Soil, and then the media concocts some other crisis to take advantage of the : warthog memory

Learned this on a safari in Africa from a local guide....

Favorite food of Lions = warthogs

Why. They have a “ 50 yard memory”. They fear something, run 50 yards and forget .. Lions have learned this is easy prey.

The media treats us like warthogs

Part of the plan. biden was used as the useful idiot to turn a country * over to terrorists and to arm them. This was to take place just before the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Americans were to be left behind.

As a colossal act of contempt for this country, the incompetent old man is bringing in “30,000” refugees into this country. “30,000” means “the first wave.” There will be several waves. And they will go to Florida and Texas.

* Actually two countries: Afghanistan and the USA.

One of the things that we were always told was…..it’s too expensive to bring that stuff home.

I’m talking about the big ticket items: MRAPS, Strykers, Humvees

I’m not sure the previous occupant of the White House was on board with that thinking.

Remember when he said that he was a éter than the Generals?

Pretty bold statement. Folks went after him. Was he wrong?

Some of the other stuff they have was given to the Afghanis. What they do with it is their business.

If we are not there, then they can only use the equipment against each other.

I say “Great!”

I predict that 50% will be useless in 3 years and only 10% will be working in 10 years. Our equipment has a substantial supply line requirement that the Taliban will not be interested in building.

Good Lord that is a sad but true analogy.

Add to it. They’re chasing warthog Joe, not me. All is good.

One group headed to Wisconsin. One groups headed to Texas.

The first wave of, I’d estimate about 100k. 100,000 illiterate, easily manipulated, ripe for the picking potential terrorists. They’ll form their ghettos and along comes the radical cleric that is allowed to operate in this country, and turn them into killers.

In addition, not a single one of them has a job skill and they’re about as lazy as they come.

And we get to pay for it. Happy. Happy.

On a side note, just think of all the teachers and TESL that are going to be needed to “educate”’all the kids.

Them taxes just keep going up. But don’t worry, vote for the Republican incumbent. They’ll fight to lower your taxes.

As Nancy would say..."that ain't gonna happen", in fact he'll be soon doubling down on the treachery by bringing in plane-loads of "refugees".

"Woke-ness"...turns out to be an overdose of sleeping pills.

Here’s my prediction……

The former leaders of what was the Northern Alliance are said to be talking about getting the band back together.

Say that’s true. Dostum and Khan are still alive. And they have loyal troops.

So, they start fighting back. Who supplies them? Who provides the different types of support needed?

Could this be as simple as the military industrial complex keeping that gravy train going?

The world was getting more stable under President Trump. The bad guys were afraid to move. And when they did, he blew them to bits, ask Soleimani. Oh wait, you can’t because he was blown to bits on the racetrack on BIAP.

All that’s changed now. Back to where we started a little over 20 years ago.

You are absolutely correct. This was ordered by the Chinese Communist Party using the Hunter Biden videos as leverage. There is a huge amount of CCP influence in this which has been applied over more than 2 years, since Trump started the trade war with China. COVID was the first shot, then news media and social media corporations which are heavily invested in by the CCP. Then the election. It could not have been done in any other way.

I would almost bet that some technically advanced country would offer assistance to Afghanistan. Spare parts are always available through outside sources. Look at the situation with Iran after the US departed and how they were able to sustain their hardware.

Many of the armaments that were left behind require maintenance and technological expertise. These weapons will be junk soon.
