For mass formation psychosis interested folks, who want some insight...a book from the 1950s...’True Believer’ by Eric Hoffer, I would recommend. About 170 pages and you can read it easily over a weekend. Hoffer takes you through the influences and how a society can believe something that is all faked-up.

The problem for the people that developed and unleashed this bioweapon is that very average people - even low-IQ people - can see none of the restrictions are stopping the spread of this. Everyone realizes that rights we’ve lost haven’t fixed this at all, and everyone expects a repeat next Christmas as this becomes the new “seasonal flu”.
“V for Vendetta” was prophetic about this whole situation, with a far right theocratic government installed in a panicked response instead of the far left lunacy we have (it was a thinly-veiled slam at “Bushies”, though set in the UK).

Fear and the mentally ill. We all experienced fear in the beginning but those of us were able to pull ourselves out of the fear and start thinking and asking questions and pushing back where those who suffer mental instability are caught in a trap they cannot get out of.
If you google mass formation psychosis...you get a special note at the top of Google that I’ve not ever seen...

We’re getting that banner from Google because nothing in the language, ever before in Google’s history, has ever, EVER changed rapidly before, and not AT ALL because they haven’t quite figured out how to optimally be evil (remember their abandoned motto?) and optimally censor or otherwise alter search results.
