Have you noticed how many on the right have changed from being for vaccine choice to becoming anti-vaccine regarding COVID-19? It’s so subtle that most of us haven’t noticed, but there is definitely a shift taking place. This is worrisome, because a lot of elderly people with susceptible conditions are placing themselves at risk of dying without getting the vaccine. Now, what if this is because there is a secret effort on the left to push this shift, since it will result in fewer voters on the right?
A look at the data across the U.S. in counties with the same percentage of elderly people — the highest percentages of elderly in the country — shows that people in the reddest counties are dying at nearly 3.8x the rate of those dying in the bluest counties.
The problem is people on the right are so fed up with the lies and propaganda coming from the government and MSM about COVID-19 that they are overreacting; refusing to get the vaccine even if they have pre-existing conditions or are very elderly.
There has been a significant number of high-profile conservatives who died from COVID-19 who were anti-vaccine. It’s clear that many of them had pre-existing conditions or were very old, so perhaps they should have gotten the vaccine.
I haven’t gotten the vaccine, but I am not that old and am in great health, so I was never at much risk; I weighed the benefits versus the negatives as well as other considerations — like whether I would be around elderly family members before we had testing available — and made the balanced decision not to. There was very little risk I was going to be hospitalized.
I came down with COVID-19 in the fall, took hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, and spent only a couple of days sick in bed. My triple vaxxed lefty friend, who is younger than me and in great health, got COVID-19 shortly after I did and also spent a couple of days in bed — his triple vaccines did nothing for someone like him.
The left is gloating over unvaccinated conservatives who died from COVID-19. While there isn’t a lot of health information available about any of their pre-existing conditions, it’s apparent from their photos that almost all of them were at least overweight and older. Conservative radio personality Marc Bernier was 65 and significantly overweight. A second conservative radio personality, Phil Valentine, was 61. And a third radio talk show host, Dick Farrel, was 65 and significantly overweight. Valentine and Farrel both expressed regret for being anti-vaccine before they died.
There’s also a slight similar trend involving other aspects of avoiding COVID-19, such as masks and social distancing. The late Herman Cain, who died before the vaccine became available, spoke out against masks, but he was 74 and was considered high-risk for COVID-19 due to surviving a battle with Stage 4 colon cancer. Less than two weeks before his death from COVID-19 in July 2020, he attended a Trump rally without a mask, which may be where he contracted it.
Granted, masks’ efficacy is miniscule, studies show they only stop about 10% of viruses, and even if Cain had worn a mask, it mainly protects others from him, not vice versa. He was surrounded by others at the rally who were unmasked. But if he had been acting like a liberal, he probably would not have attended the massive rally.
The anti-vaccine mentality originated on the left. Its adherents are people like Robert F. Kennedy and Hollywood celebrities. Even the left admits this. A writer for The Daily Beast observed about anti-vaxxers, “What was once the provenance of a few fringe weirdos — mostly on the loony left — has now migrated into the mainstream.”
The left lies about the right being anti-vaccine. They routinely refer to us as “anti-vaccine” when many of us have gotten the vaccine and merely want it to be a choice. Fox News and Newsmax require that their talk show hosts and employees get the vaccine — or get tested regularly — and so many of their hosts have gotten the vaccine and frequently remind viewers of this while still reinforcing their viewpoint that it should be a choice. Those stations have some of the top voices on the right. How is this “anti-vaccine?”
Perhaps this is why Trump and Candace Owens got into it recently over the vaccine. Trump merely believes a lot of people should get the vaccine, and he doesn’t support a mandate. Trump is booed at rallies telling people to get the vaccine.
Yes, the vaccine mandates are disturbing, especially for the young and healthy, like Biden’s military mandate. The deaths attributed to the vaccine keep creeping up; are now at 10,688 according to the CDC, and many medical professionals have stated that many more aren’t being reported. There are also 1,947 preliminary reports of myocarditis or pericarditis among people ages 30 years and younger. But that doesn’t mean everyone shouldn’t individually consider weighing the positives versus negatives of getting the shot.
Farrel’s close friend Amy Leigh Hair said she got the vaccine after Farrel was dying and told her she should. She told WPTV, "I was one of one the people like him who didn't trust the vaccine. I trusted my immune system. I just became more afraid of getting COVID-19 than I was of any possible side effects of the vaccine."
The confusion has to stop. Conservatives carrying signs that say “Don’t jab on me” could be construed as being anti-vaxx, not anti-vaxx mandate. Stop letting the MSM refer to us as “anti-vaxx.” It’s a lie. The left doesn’t follow the science with their insistence on mandates, because a lot of young healthy people have died after getting the vaccine.
On the other hand, let’s not be tricked into ignoring science too, by going in the opposite direction with overreacting merely to spite them. Could the left be deliberately manipulating the right into universally rejecting the vaccine? A respected, well-known political leader told me they believe this is happening.
“Why are so many people deficient in this vitamin?”
Well, isn’t vitamin D the one you need to expose your skin to sunlight in order for the body to produce?
Maybe locking society down in hysterical panic so that everyone hides inside for 2 years may have an effect on that...

My answer to to the notion of Trump voters dying in greater numbers for not being vaxxed would be to counter with the notion that they aren’t paying attention to the numbers of pro Dem black voters who also refused to be vaxxed in my neck of the woods and in other communities who have also succumbed to the disease, simply because they tend not to trust certain medical treatments created by white people.
We’ve seen many elderly to 30 year olds with diabetes, obesity and other co-morbidities pass away who were hispanic or black in greater proportions than unvaccinated whites (who also die too much of the time).
The Democrats have an elephant in the room that they will not address honestly....the antivaxxers in the minority populations amongst their own voting members.
Dowd spins quite the untrue yarn of a narrative. She hopes covid is killing off white republicans in greater numbers but she has no proof that it is doing so. I’m an ICU RN and I can say, at least for my neck of the woods who it is killing off. If a covid patient has reached the ICU, they have an 80 percent probability of dying. However most people sick with covid even if they came into hospital for a few days, will never get to the ICU. That actually is very good news for the populations at large. We have seen very few vaccinated reach our ICU and the ones that have got better. I know of a couple of cases who had been vaccinated but because of cancer and autoimmune issues, the vax was never going to work for them.
Most of our ICU dead have been unvaccinated and it still holding true today...at least in our neck of the woods. Also...we aren’t being inundated with covids waiting to die...we have open ICU beds! Now we have ER wait times right now that are long. Omicron has the usual numbers of hypochon’s crowding waiting rooms sure they are about to perish along with the usual, flus, streps, ect. The thing is the PCRs have gone away so many are waiting for the longer Lyra tests and many just get sent home if their symptoms aren’t bad.
Most will get better and won’t come back again or they follow up with their private doctors.
Our hospital is enforcing a stricter set of rules as to who comes to the ICU and some are admitted to hospital as ER holds(no medical or intermediate care beds available immediately so they get held in the ER) and get their hospital care there. Most will go home in a few days all better if they haven’t been moved to open beds “upstairs”.
So, our particular Med surge trauma ICU has been only 50 to 70 percent full and we transfer patients who don’t meet icu criteria fairly quickly. We have a trauma mission, so we need to keep a few beds open for gunshots and mva’s and head bleeds.
Staffing has been a big issue in the non-acute areas but my own unit is staffed a little better and we are all pretty dedicated to keeping things going and being supportive of each other. This is best ICU group I’ve worked with in 35 years of nursing.

Which is consistent with some other reports it seems, although aside from the ICU are reports such as the UK Health Security Agency confirms that 3 in every 4 Omicron cases admitted to hospital up to 29th December 2021 were people who had been vaccinated against Covid-19.
And while i do not deny some vaccine efficacy - if limited and rather rapidly decreasing over time*, there may also be an alternative explanation that may partly explain the higher morbidity among the unvaccinated, which is that such are those who are most likely to neglect their health and thus health care.

And in which both Whites and Blacks up a smaller share of people who have received at least one dose compared to their share of the total population (58% to 61% and 10% to 12% respectively). In contrast, Hispanic people make up a larger share of vaccinated people (19%) and people who recently received a vaccination (23%) compared to their share of the total population (17%). However, among people age 65 and older, the shares of booster dose recipients who are Black and Hispanic are smaller than their shares of fully vaccinated people age 65 and older, while for Whites it is slightly higher than their share. The CDC is not publicly reporting state-level data on the racial/ethnic composition of people vaccinated, nor the race/ethnicity of people who have received at least one dose by age, limiting the ability to gain insight into vaccination patterns among children.

Yes co-morbidities are a big issue with those contracting covid and passing away. It isn’t skinny young people we are seeing who pass away. A few young white males recently but they were 300 to 400 pounds in their early thirties. When they lost lung capacity, their weight did them in. Ages are skewing lower but still, not all were the healthiest people.
The hysteria is astounding at least the way the media amps it up. If I stand back objectively and look at the whole covid mess, people really aren’t dying in much greater numbers than they did with other flu and viral epidemics over the past 35 years I’ve worked as an RN. The difference is the politics and the really bad people who are using this to try and bring the world down around us.
I can’t shake the notion(or it will not let me go) that we are under judgment, we have fallen into traps that our national sins have dug for us. Confusion reigns, many grope in spiritual confusion and darkness and our government and media sources provide no real moral guidance while proclaiming that what is truth and goodness are to be regarded as evil.
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)
And consider the insidious effects of The Pill in helping to create a society of 1.6 children, of neighborhoods of just one of two children, spoiled (since birth control means waiting till financially able to provide $100+ footwear - even among many "low-income" families), plus childless women, and feminist leaders, and now with most of their abundant free time on video games, and with adults teaching them that hardship means hearing politically incorrect words, and with racism in every closest, and gratitude for what past generations for providing us with such abundance, by the grace of God, being replaced with protests about imagined or magnified injustices, with past builder generations being now demonized. All fruits of spiritual declension.
