"can"?

I think they mean "legally allowed" (or not).

Shoot, shovel, shut-up.

the vote was largely split between urban voters who supported the measure and rural voters who opposed it.
= = =

So relocate the wolves to the urban areas.

Not that I have cows, but if I did, I would ‘liquidate’ any animal getting near them, if only because I think cows are very cute and don’t deserve to be harassed (or worse).

"So relocate the wolves to the urban areas."

Too much competition from the two legged predators....

I would not argue with someone who wouldn’t let me shoot a predator preying on livestock on my property, nor would I sit and wait for them to change the law. Like someone else who commented said: I would just keep a shovel handy.

And if any tracking collars are found, toss em on the first westbound or eastbound train ya see. Or tie em to a log and let em float down a river.

And wolves are not at all endangered animals.
There are hoards of them in Canada and Alaska.

The best nn-lethal defense against wolves and coyotes is to bring in a few donkeys and heard them with the cattle. Problem solved.

A lot of things happen in the country that nobody knows about or talks about. I grew up in rancher country and had quite a few rancher friends growing up and I can tell you it's an unwritten rule to always be polite to people when you are on their land far away from anywhere.

If a wolf is causing a rancher enough grief then sooner-than-later the wolf will be shot and disposed of - never to be found.

"Welcome to Rancher Club. The first rule of Rancher Club is: you do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is: you DO NOT talk about Rancher Club! Third rule of Fight Club: if a wolf or mountain lion......
