Fox News host Tucker Carlson recently highlighted the failures of Baltimore's education system and how students, who are overwhelmingly black, are falling behind in critical education skills while having to contend with the city's high crime rate.
In response to the segment, the Baltimore Sun Editorial Board and the mayor called Carlson a racist.

Did the newspaper call “The Wire” or “Homicide” racist?
The Baltimore they portrayed was a horror show by any standard.
Still am baffled why when pointing out that a city has a high crime rate that this is perceived as racist. People have learned well how to play the ‘racist’ card, and it seems to have almost reached the end of it’s usefulness.
This only means HIGHER ratings for TC.
Recognizing reality is not racism. Purposeful delusion is usually racist.
I guess these idiots haven’t figured out that the “racist” accusation has lost its sting.
I wouldn’t use the Baltimore Sun to wrap fish for fear that the fish would be poisoned.
What do they call Leo Terrell when he points out these very same facts?

Tucker told the truth. The truth is notoriously racist and sexist.
That card has been punched so many times it’s becoming meaningless.
I don’t like anything, and I liked “The Wire.” It had black lesbians, and black crooks, and black heroes in a predominantly black city, but closed with a white cop turned teacher. Just a magnificent ending.
I am a Baltimore native, lived there a large portion of my life. Ate crabs for breakfast.
I once loved and adored Baltimore.
Worked downtown, near Inner Harbor. I used to picture myself like Mary Tyler Moore, throwing my beret in the air in sheer joy.
Baltimore was once a great city. Had a zoo, the inner harbor, home of McCormick spices, lots of jobs.
And crabs. Did I mention crabs?
I watched Tucker and his large segment on Baltimore. Eventually I moved out to Anne Arundel county, a suburb of Baltimore, but still worked in Baltimore frequently.
Right now my granddaughter lives near Baltimore and I worry to death about her.
For Baltimore has been destroyed. Rows and rows of empty, falling apart row homes. Crime everywhere. The Mayor was recently found guilty of using city funds for her own purposes.
Baltimore was never a New York, or even a nearby Washington D. C. But it was a solid middle class city.
I was good buddies with Nancy Pelosi oncit upon a time. But that’s a story, a good one, for another time.
Tucker had it right.
Baltimore has been turned from a good city to a crime-ridden slum.
“The Wire” was actually based on real people who lived in Baltimore—that was part of why it felt so authentic.
I watched that and then commuted into our local big city—and everything looked different.
I could actually a spot a drug handoff, criminals scouting a vehicle or construction site for a future theft, etc.
It was a totally stunning show.
Project much Baltimore?
I had a relative who used to have crab cakes shipped in from Baltimore when they held parties—omg they were so good...
The Sun is getting dragged on social media over this.
Is Democrat a “race”? I suppose that makes their malice toward everyone else racist.
I live in Delaware now. When we moved to Anne Arundel county, on a cove off of the Chesapeake Bay, my father bought a boat and was a crabber.
Crabs are the food of the gods.
I suppose that since crime there is a majority black issue that pointing it out is “racist.”. That’s one possibility. Another is that racist may be just another curse word similar in use to “$hit.”
Baltimore just experienced something that many may not be aware of. We are used to blacks killing blacks. Its Baltimore. Its just the way it is. Go to the inner harbor, go to the Aquarium, see an Orioles or Ravens game, and get back on nearby I-95 and get out of dodge. That was the deal. What changed is the recent murder of 2 white people. One, a restaurant owner in “Little Italy” and one just a mom delivering food. These murders have been seen by many as the final straw. A breaking of “the deal”. People are talking about abandoning Baltimore like never before. The “I love city life” liberal whites with their bottled water and mountain bikes, their $3500 Canton rents, have been shocked to their core. Its a different feel now. Its like when Obi-wan grimmaced and said he felt a great disturbance in the force.
On top of all of this, yet another black city official has been busted committing crimes. This time its the city prosecutor Marilyn Moseby, one of Soros’s crew that won’t charge people with crimes anymore. She was busted by the feds for abusing Covid relief funds to buy Florida real estate. Whats funny is she is screaming waaaaaacism as well. Its the only defense corrupt and inept Black Baltimore officials can do when cornered.
