Is t it amazing how, after years of being in business, audits, investigations, two impeachment’s, knowing damn well that the IRS and Dems were going through his returns……and all of a sudden, James and her crack team of investigators find something.
Truly amazing. I think she should be the next Governor of NY.

What's it going to hurt them to try? They cancel the lease, ignore any outstanding financial obligations, tie the Trump organinaztion up in litigation for a half a decade and try to bleed Trump dry in a DC courtroom with government lawyers.
Even if they lose, they were gambling with house money. The government's lawyers were paid for by the taxpayers, the bureaucrats have no legal liability, and even if they did, they would retire with full benefits before being held accountable if that was even pursued.
In a lot of ways, only Trump could have brought out this behavior all at once from the deep state. It's out in the open now, and we can choose to deal with it, or pretend that it's 2004, there is a system that works and Trump is just a glitch.

If they do that, they cannot ‘cancel’ outright. The cost-to-close numbers will be very, very high and Trump has the lawyer power to make that stick.

Trump should get a restraining order against any Democrat politician.
The building is owned by the federal government (Pennsylvania Avenue Development Corporation), and Trump’s organization leased the property and redeveloped it. In order for Trump to be able to collect the $375 million, the government has to approve the assignment and assumption of the lease from Trump to CGI.
If the government revokes Trump’s lease, the sale falls through and the hotel closes until a new operator is found. I’m not sure who would want to do business with the federal government when a lease can be cancelled at will by which ever political party controls the White House.
About time for Democrats to decide if they really want a federal government off the leash to do this kind of thing just to score a political point. Next thing you know that government will be requiring us all to participate in a mass medical experiment. /sarc
So Trump's "accounting firm" (whatever that means) just admitted publicly that they have been committing fraud for nine years by confirming that his financial statements are valid? Does anyone at that firm realize that they just signed off on their firm's spectacular demise by lawsuits? That the firm's owners will die penniless and broken because they admitted that they defrauded everyone who relied on those statements?
Has anyone checked to see if Hillary or her minions have some of their family members tied to a chair in a warehouse in an abandoned part of the city? Because NOBODY, and I mean nobody, would be this stupid otherwise.
