Let’s face it, Trump the non-politician, never went to politician grooming school to learn how to say the right thing that is devoid of any substance, ... to lie and have people who know it’s a lie but accept it b/c it helps them avoid the truth and deal with harsh reality.
I don’t care if the demonkraps and the media complain or display their rabid, visceral hatred for him. Trump is Trump, refreshing in that he states the obvious, even if inartfully at times. Truth hurts. What they did to him (really the American people represented by him) is politically unforgivable.
It would have been a good moment for Trump to call Putin an evil SOB instead.

Stating Putin is smart is not “praising” him. “Smart” and “good” are not synonymous terms. If Trump said Putin was doing great things with the Ukraine - that would be praising him. But he said nothing of the sort.

That is an interesting post. With regard to a previous different article criticizing Trump for a comment on the same point, you said:

And you were correct, at the end of that article: "Trump...said if he had remained president, Putin would never have attempted something like this. It never would have happened with us. Had I been in office, not even thinkable," Trump said. "You know what the response was from Biden? He didn't have a response."
In this later article Trump is reported as saying, "...Putin's smart.' I mean, he's taken over a country for $2 worth of sanctions. I'd say that's pretty smart." Yet you criticize his advisors.
What am I missing? Trump is being consistent, and his advisors cannot be held responsible for how a progressive MSM reports on him.
