I have seen poll(s) of lessened support for Democrats in Hispanics and blacks. https://ace.mu.nu/archives/398937.php

“And aren’t we now supposed to be against overturning things?”

Ahhh, yesss; the venereal doctrine of ‘Scarcely Decided’; a dear, dear treachery of The Left.

Interesting. So a pregnant woman in Idaho takes a trip to visit her relatives in Massachusetts.

While in Idaho her baby is a legal person, but somehow when she gets off the plane in Massachusetts it ceases to be a legal person.

Such questions are why the progressives are so keen on making everything a "federal case". A gay couple married in Massachusetts moves to Idaho because one of them got a job transfer. They were married in Massachusetts but no longer in Idaho (if gay marriage was still a States' Rights issue). Now the company is confused about whether or not they can automatically provide insurance coverage to the now live-in boyfriend who ceased to be a husband.

Certain issues like what kind of car insurance drivers have to have make sense at the state level. But basic definitions of who is and who isn't a legal person, or what constitutes a legal marriage really need to be made at the federal level.

After all, don't we want to have a solid definition of citizen so we can deny entry to illegal aliens, and birthright "citizenship"? And don't we want to have a solid definition of "natural born citizen" so we have no further Obama's slipping into power?

“Shaping up for November election issue.”

That’s certainly one aspect of the illegal leak.

I’m of the opinion that although the leak was likely made by a lower level person it was planned and put into play by democrats at a higher level as justification or a catalyst for some other action.

Perhaps as an excuse to seat Breyer’s replacement before he retires thereby effectively starting to pack the court.

Or to bring the abortion fight to the forefront to pump up discouraged democrats for the mid-term elections.

Or for some other democrat scheme not immediately apparent.

Whatever the true motivation you can bet it’s part of a democrat plan to gain something they cannot achieve through traditional legal channels or honest elections.

“I have no doubt the deep state snoops on the justices and has backdoors into their computer systems.”

The more I think about this, the more I come to that conclusion as the source.

Law schools are going to have to revamp their Ethics classes to add in this case and reiterate the requirements for confidentiality NO MATTER the legal work an attorney is doing (unless in the case of criminal actions)

This one is a huge no-no. If they find out whodunnit, it should result in disbarment and prosecution. If a Justice was involved, it should result in impeachment or resignation. This one strikes right at the integrity of the Court. The real threat is if this miscreant is revealed and then hailed as a hero by the pro-choice radicals. He could be a talking head on CNN or MSNBC.

“Rumors are flying, but one name keeps popping up: Amit Jain, a clerk for Sotomayor.”

AMIT JAIN is getting lots of TWITTER action. Male by the way.

The US Constitution most certainly prohibits abortion. The 14th amendment, and any suggestion that a person isn’t a person at conception, is an opinion.

“Dems worship abortion with a greater intensity than Christians worship Christ.”

I got lazy and omitted that.

But who paid Amit Jain the big big bucks to throw away his future career as a lawyer in a cushy fed jb with big compensation and humongous retirement benefits?

Yes it is a draft, but notice that it is dated 10 February, (almost 3 months ago). This was leaked because there have been no opinion changes of the majority since the draft was circulated. There are likely several later drafts of this opinion that reflect basically the same opinion with a few refined arguments.

It’s clear to me that this was leaked in order to get the base riled up for the primaries and then for the general election. Also to try to get the base to “riot” at the USSC to intimidate the justices in order to scare them into changing their vote.

people can’t afford food, or gas, I don’t think this is going to matter the state laws are now what decides abortion. it’s not as if they made abortion illegal.

Is this for real?

I doubt it.

The deep state is panicking and needs a major distraction to hide something else that is happening or about to happen. 2000 Mules? Money laundering and/or biolabs in Ukraine? Laptop from hell? Ministry of Truth? Indictments? 25th Amendment?

Many possibilities.
