Romney, for all of his faults, has been very solid on pro-life votes as a Senator. That’s just a reality. He isn’t going to nuke the filibuster for this.
There are people on here, perhaps more than any other website, that look for the cloud instead of the silver lining.

Murder should never be any kind of rights issue, federal, state or whatever.
I suspect there are a lot of Republican senators and congress creatures who are very upset at Roe being over turned. The vast majority are tepidly fiscally conservative but socially leftist kooks like their friends across the aisle but can’t run openly on their true beliefs. Most never thought this would actually happen.
The Rats, whose stock in trade is lying, are “Shocked! SHOCKED!!” that Cavanaugh and Barrett LIED about not overturning Roe v. Wade.
This is D.C. Kabuki at its finest.
They passed a bill already. Last year. It’s sitting at the senate.
They’ve been doing this a long time. I don’t think they’re so hubristic as to never think that they might find these mechanisms used against them when the wind shifts. I think they’re just willing to gamble with shooting their future in the foot for what they think is the immediate gain.
That they’re continuing even in the face of current polls is insanity - but that’s how they are.
They are free to pass anything they want, but it will be contested in the courts and will not pass constitutional muster. Even the libs on the court will not be able to use Roe v Wade in their arguments now that Dobbs v Jacson has thoroughly denounced it’s incoherence. Sinema and Manchin are the last smart democrats. They know they are staring down a huge republican wave, and the fillibuster will be their only weapon in the near future.
Many, if not most so called educated women fervently believe infanticide protects their right to casual sex which is the most important thing in the world.
OK, I have to take a closer look at them.
This is very good news.
The reason for that is because many if not most on FR are critical thinkers and more informed about the complexities of issues. They read; they research; they compare and contrast from various sources. Sometimes, there is just no "silver lining". That leaves only the Cloud.
Is there a "silver lining" with the entire shutdown of America for a strong flu that killed off thousands of small businesses and more so jobs?
Is there a "silver lining" in Biteme/handlers nation-killing destructive immigration policy?
Is there a "silver lining" in Biteme/handlers reversal of being energy independent back to energy dependent of foreign oil?
I admire your optimism, I just can't see the "silver lining" surrounding the Cloud that is the stolen Biteme administration. They are doing EVERYTHING wrong against our beloved Republic, for whatever their reasons which is debatable.
