As the Wall Street Journal relates in an editorial published Monday evening, a dispute has arisen over the counting of mail-in ballots in the closely contested Republican primary election in Pennsylvania between David McCormick and Dr. Mehmet Oz. The candidates seek the party’s nod to run against ailing Democratic nominee, John Fetterman, for the seat now occupied by retiring Republican Senator Pat Toomey.
Clearly, the ballots should be counted.

As Politico reports, the Third Circuit ruled that hundreds of undated mail-in votes should be counted because they were received on time. The court has not yet issued its formal opinion explaining the ruling, but it did make clear that the dating requirement is “immaterial” under federal law — specifically, the civil-rights law excerpted above.

Count the votes.

If someone cannot complete the ballot out properly then the ballot should not be counted period.
I wouldn’t mind if the local registrar’s office contacted the voter to give them a chance to correct the ballot but allowing this will open a “pandora’s box” that the Democraps can use to continue their cheating.
By trying to throw out legitimate ballots over an inconsequential clerical error, we are playing right into the Democrats’ hands.
Now they can point the finger and scream “Voter disenfranchisement!” and they actually have a point.
This is not the right time to be cracking down on clerical errors by legitimate voters.
Not necessarily, when you consider the ballot envelope in its entirety. On it is a legal declaration the elector makes as to their identity and its requisite signature, date, and location. Accepting anything less invalidates the ballot. The election has to conform to the laws on the books at the time of the election to be considered LAWFUL.
This is the result of not having a law cutting off new / revised registrations two weeks before the next election. So you miss 1 election; you'll be more careful with your vote next time, won't you?
Like I said, I’m all for strictly enforcing rules on actual voters - that’s always a good thing. But it doesn’t belong in the same conversation with eliminating and preventing the Democrats from committing outright election fraud again.
We are just two years out from an election being totally stolen. And you know what their narrative is whenever we call them on it and try to enforce voter verification? They say it is us that is the problem - that we are trying to deny brown people access to voting - that they are the good guys, just trying to give voters more access.
By making a stink about clerical errors made by actual legitimate voters, we are giving the Left ammunition - we are allowing them to distract from their outright theft.
Voters should not leave out the date on their ballots - but don’t you think printing up millions of counterfeit ballots is the bigger problem right now?
And all this fuss over which RINO gets to run for PA Senator and get beaten by the Democrat.

Would not be a problem if millions of [assumed counterfeit] ballots were denied consideration from lack of a date required to confirm identity as stated in the state election law.
The lack of a date is suggestive of a lack of consideration and preparation of their vote, anyway. Especially since the overwhelming percentage of mail-in ballots were dated.
This is a ploy by the PA Communists to get a ruling they can use in the fed election later this year so they can manufacture ballots for the Communists more readily.
Calm down, that’s NOT what is going on here. These are real voters who voted only once, and on time - they didn’t cheat - they just didn’t fill in the date properly.
The Democrats stole an election by actually cheating on a massive scale, and then engaging in a massive coverup. The level of corruption was staggering.
It’s like comparing a massive bank heist to an old lady trying to check out 26 grocery items in the 25-or-Less aisle.
One is a criminal act and the other is not.
Confusing the two issues only helps the Democrats.
Can we all agree that Andrew McCarthy is a horses ass like he said Peter Navarro is?
