“People who really love being stoned carry it into every part of their daily lives“

That generalization is not true. I’ve been getting stoned for 50 years, growing my own for 40. It never leaves my house, I don’t drive after smoking until I’ve slept for the evening. Never sold any, never gave any away.

In the vast majority of my business interactions I have been the more rational and reliable party.

I’m neither unique nor special.

Good for you. It goes without saying that the world would be much better if everyone thought as you do.

Unfortunately, we’re right now in a “post-pandemic” world where too many people think anything goes.

40 years back, before Medical MJ was ever spoken of seriously, it was not as easy to grow your own without worrying on being discovered. Those in rural areas had a big advantage, but still had to be aware. There is always some nosy neighbor watching, from behind an old lace curtain.
You are a unique user in that you are self disciplined about driving and you aren’t growing in hopes of selling as a way to pay your bills.

“I’ve been getting stoned for 50 years,”

It’s not often someone totally throws the entire online credibility into the trash can like that. Everything you say, said, or will say is completely to be ignored by all.

It makes it so easy when idiots out themselves.

Same, been doing it 50 years, only do it at home (now), and do it everyday. It has some health benefits for older people, quelling inflammation for one thing. I’m way more coherent and sharper than those my age who don’t smoke it. As a matter of fact I’m smoking some now. Many on here just have the usual stereotype of a stoner zombie, they’d probably be surprised how many of us out there partake of it.

I’ve been getting stoned for 50 years, growing my own for 40. It never leaves my house [...]

Do you ever leave your house? /sarcasm

My eldest brother died at age 69 after forty years of almost continual* marijuana use. (Had built a nice little house for himself up in the "jungle" at about 1,500 ft elevation on the Big Island.) Finally got a copy of the CoD a few days ago. Died of Parkinson's Disease. There is no history of that in our (very large) family of (very) long-lived Scandinavians. Been wondering how his MJ use may have contributed to it.

Regards,

*Full disclosure: I don't actually know what constitutes "heavy" use - but I believe that he smoked it at least daily.
