CHICAGO (CBS) -- With the holiday weekend upon us along with a surge in COVID-19 cases, we're all asking the same questions: Should we gather? and if we do, should it be outside? and what about masks?
CBS 2's Suzanne Le Mignot talks to an expert to get some answers.

What is covid?
My husband came home from a business trip last week with a cold and tested positive on Sunday. We didn’t separate until he was positive, but I had already been exposed. I tested positive on Wednesday. I thought it was my allergies acting up very badly, and seeing cottonwood pollen everywhere, which I am highly allergic to, I thought that was the thing until I saw the positive test.
It is a cold, just like a hundred colds you’ve ever had before, where nobody isolated from each other, and you just took care of each other until your household was over it.
The fear porn for this is outrageous. It’s a ding dong cold. I broke my fever two days ago, so on the mend for sure. My energy is almost completely back to 100%. I bet by tomorrow I will feel completely like my old self.

When they get something better (i.e. worse) to use.
You do know that the “tests” are complete bullsh*t, don’t you?
If everyone stopped getting “tested”, “COVID” would cease to exist. Stop getting “tested” every time you sneeze or have a scratchy throat. We now live in a world of hypochondriacs who let themselves be ruled by tyrannical busy-bodies and “experts” who are wrong about everything, 100% of the time.

These are the same quacks that said: two weeks to flatten the curve, wear masks to stop the spread, lockdown the economy for months to stop the spread, take the jabs and get boosters to stop the spread, ..... These people are idiots and dangerous quacks.
This Harvard-associated guy who previously worked for the CDC says time to get ahead of the dread monkeypox:
