This stunt won’t survive on 1st Amendment grounds.

There is no First Amendment right to $35 million from Florida taxpayers.

No.

Disney and MLB are not higher levels of government. If they want to be subsidized by the government they have to be nonpartisan. Otherwise I want the government to start funding the NRA.

There is a First Amendment right to freedom of speech, and if DeSantis uses that to veto an appropriation approved by the legislature then he's violating the Rays' constitutional protections.

No, they are corporations with the same constitutional rights and protections that individuals have.

If they want to be subsidized by the government they have to be nonpartisan.

Why?

Otherwise I want the government to start funding the NRA.

Unlike corporations the NRA is a non-profit. Accepting federal funding would probably change that and open them for being taxed.

This is good! Professional sports teams rob cities and States of taxes then attack the taxpayers and how they live.

Taxes should NEVER support commercial enterprises. If I am taxed then the benefit of those taxes must go to me and what I need from government!

NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!

The “gun violence” problem could be solved in one easy step. Someone murders some one. You hang, electrocute, or give the needle to the murder. Immediately after the trial. That would greatly reduce the murder rate. You would still have your heard heads, but those could be dealt with. Instead, in their infinite wisdom, the Democrat Party protects the guilty, [the murderer] and punishes the innocent ]the unborn and partially born baby] by murdering [aborting it] and selling the remaining parts auction house style. That is why the murder rate is so high and the people lack the intelligence to comprehend. You can get rid of every gun in the World and the murder rate would not go down at all. But the sheep are not smart enough to understand this. They have been indoctrinated: “Guns are bad.”

Of course, any premeditated murder 1 with a gun, a speedy trial and a death sentence immediately following.

No one said they didn’t have the right to speak. They just do not have the right to public funding, and I applaud the Governor for his actions. Why should he allow funding for your Democrat advocacy? Pay for that yourselves.

The money has been appropriated. DeSantis, as governor has the power to veto the appropriation. If he says he is vetoing it because he does not agree with funding sports facilities for sports teams then that would be one thing. But he has publicly said he is vetoing it because of what the Rays said about gun control and that is a clear violation of their First Amendment rights. DeSantis is using it as an election ploy knowing his veto will be found unconstitutional...some time after the election.
