Best. Governor. Ever.

Including Reagan.

Donald J. Trump, Best. President. Ever.

Including Reagan.

What about Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, you may ask?

I have no doubt that, like Reagan, they were presidents of the highest caliber.

But my only firsthand knowledge of the above is with PDJT, RR, and DeSantis.

With the rest, I have to rely on “historians” (cough).

So DeSantis is politicizing the shootings because the Rays politicized the shootings? Nice that they gave him an excuse to.

Good. Rub their nose it. Get woke, go broke. At least don’t let the overpaid spoiled jocks steal more of the taxpayer lunch money.

Woketards in the front office. They ruin everything.

I used to live in central Florida and got sick watching the taxpayers get raped over and over for stadiums and the like.

Bills had leverage over Buffalo so they got money for the new stadium. Rays? Floridians don't care. They'll rather go to the beach instead. So Rays can leave town of they want.

If building and operating a stadium or arena were a profitable venture, the teams would insist on building it themselves.

Testicles are extremely rare in GOP-controlled State Houses...

Most GOP governors remind me of the bald, fat eunuch who was one of the stars in Game of Thrones...

Every time it is looked into it turns out that new stadiums or gussied up stadiums do not increase overall economic activity. All they do is shift it from one segment to another.

The Rays should Pay their own Way.

I can’t speak for now, I’ve been gone a long time. But I recall the whole deal over the Rays and the original stadium in St Pete. Unadulterated screw job on the tax payer.

Yep. And the stadium sucks. The owner should build the new stadium himself. If he can't afford it, then sell it to a billionaire who can. Cities/counties/states will need to stand up to sports owner and tell them no. Unless they're located in the Rust Belt. So that leaves Buffalo, Baltimore, Cleveland, Cincinnati just to name a few. Others need to tell them to shove it. Especially if it's located in the Sun Belt or in the Megapolis.

Veto it because it's immoral for taxpayers to pay for billionaire sports franchises playgrounds.

That would at least have a chance of withstanding the court challenges. This stunt won't survive on 1st Amendment grounds.

If a company chooses to reject neutrality then they are a political advocate and it is illegal and immoral to use state funds to finance them.

It was for their SPRING TRAINING complex. It wasn't for their new stadium to replace the pile of cement (aka The Trop).

Their spring training complex was remodeled a few years ago.

Would the same be true if the voters of a particular county opposed something the governor supported?

Good for DeSantis. Florida’s taxpayers can not be expected to bail out every undercapitalized professional sports team in the state.
