Perhaps the governor should propose a bill: No resident of Illinois may possess more than 90 rounds of ammo that can be used in each firearm owned. Of course LEOs would be excepted. See how that works out with SCOTUS

No politician’s security team needs that much ammunition at the ready.

That looks like the infamous Mr. Creosote of Monty Python fame. After his meal. And just one wafer-thin mint.

The ChiCongo jungle games suggest 90 is a light loadout.

True, I’d say to be honest at least 1000...

Amateur. Here in the People's Stupid RepuliK of HELLINOIS, you need at least one for every corruptocrat at the local municipal, township, county and state level.

You're gonna need a f**k ton more than 1,000.

It actually goes back to the American Revolution where Lexington and Concord were literally fought over British attempting to confiscate American guns. British Soldiers got shot and were prone to ambushes.

Plinking, target shooting, etc., think of it as high speed golf or bowling.

You can go through a lot of ammo in a short time just having fun.

We need to get more folks out having fun so they understand.

This dickhead is correct...
All citizens should have a minimum of 1000 “bullets at the ready”...

Tell the governor that his state police protective team can only have one bullet per person and they must keep it in their shirt pocket in a locked case. And see how he likes it.

Do the math:

People also ask

How many rounds of ammo were used in Vietnam?

50,000 rounds

During World War II it was estimated that 45,000 rounds of small arms ammunition was fired to kill one enemy soldier. In Vietnam the American military establishment consumed an estimated 50,000 rounds of ammunition for every enemy killed.
