they’re trying everything to get President Trump off the ticket.

problem is.. DeSantis isn’t an idiot. He’s also fairly young. He knows if he opposes Trump, he’ll gain enemies he currently has as allies.

all he has to do is wait and continue protecting Florida while setting an example for the other states. meanwhile, President Trump will get his second term, and maybe a third, opening the door for DeSantis when he’s more seasoned and ready for the international stage.

done right, Trump would get 4-8 more years and DeSantis would also get 4-12.

meanwhile, the country would greatly benefit, as both would be flushing the bullsh*t that is leftist dogma down the drain.

(I’m pushing the 3rd term option as the left has told us... nothing is in stone)

Why would MSN give publicity to DeSantis won’t fight Trump for nomination in 2024? MSM and GOPe WANTS a fight between those two. I thought you were smart enough to understand MSM.

If Trump wins in 24, this is definitely in play.

Nope, DeSantis never said it. Some so-called conservatives are afraid of competition and choice. So sad!

“ Why wait if he can do it in 2024?”

—————————————-

????????? Why not wait?

Reasons to wait:

1. DeSantis would have zero competition 2028
2. If he runs 2024, it would be 2 MAGA leaders fighting each other which means that can’t debate over who’s ‘more MAGA’ and would have to focus on personality instead.
3. Focusing on personality will provide democrats with talking points to use in the general. Both men would be damaged.
4. Regardless of which man wins, half of the rep voters would have hurt feelings like they did 2016.

No young politician would risk a fiesty primary if they can skip that process 4 yrs later. DeSantis would immediately have 90% of the rep base if he runs 2028. If he runs 2024, he will only have 50% of the rep base. A very stupid move if one is guaranteed the nomination for 2028.

Ron is only keeping his options open in case Trump doesn’t run in 2024 or is damaged enough that he can’t win. Then he’d possibly jump in. I don’t see him going head to head all things being equal.

As I see it, Trump has to state his case for running again in '24, despite being a great President in his four years. His age is a liability. And everyone knows he has baggage so he's a lightning rod.

Right now, Trump has the punch / take no prisoners guts and experience. No learning curve.

This is why DeSantis should work for Trump for four years. Trump is a magician in foreign affairs. After that, with eight years with DeSantis in the corner office, the country will be saved from ultimate ruin.

Gotta think past 2024.

The Dems want DeSantis to win in November as that puts him in a stronger position to challenge Trump in 2024.

This is all about destroying Trump, and they believe DeSantis will be the weaker candidate in the general, once they settle on a younger, articulate candidate who will once again re-invigorate the democRat base who have been drifting away because of the Biden disaster.

They are busy digging up dirt on DeSantis (real, fake, or imagined), and they won’t unleash that until DeSantis secures the nomination.

Never-Trumpers who are advocating DeSantis for 2024 are doing the Dem’s work for them.

Just my opinion.

Yes, let’s see what happens this fall.

If many of Trump’s endorsed candidates lose, he will not be as welcome in 2024.

In my commonwealth of Pennsylvania, many conservatives are pissed with Trump & Hannity’s LIES in order to get Dr. Azz as the nominee for US Senate. Dr Azz is behind in the polls despite going up against an unhealthy communist with a pacemaker.

If we lose this seat, it is a gain for the Democrats and a stain on Trump for his horrible endorsement of a man that is worse than a RINO.

It is just not going to happen because Trump has a cult like following... do not mean in a bad way.. but far too many people love Trump, and DeSantis would be seen in a completely different light as an opponent of Trump..
