Brandon appears to have a really serious problem with anything having to do with numbers. I know it has been noted here many times, but consider—how many people do you know or know of who messes up nearly every time with something that involves numbers? Big numbers, small numbers, it makes no difference.
“150,000,000 dead Americans from guns since 2008.” “Two words: made in America!” “$700 billion and a trillion $300 million billion dollars.”
That and the fact that anyone who can bend tin and attach a spring can make one, it’s not exactly magic..
“M1-Garand?...” [Colorado Doug, post 52]
The Garand magazine holds only 7 (seven) rounds.
Its issue clip holds 8 (eight).
When a fully loaded clips is pushed all the way in, the follower arm cams the slide lock out of engagement, permitting the operating rod spring to push the rod forward, pulling the bolt with it.
The lower lip on the bolt strips the topmost round out of the clip and chambers it.
SAFETY NOTE: keep the rear edge of your hand tightly back against the operating rod handle while pushing down on the loaded clip. Move your thumb out of the path of the bolt after the clip locks into place in the magazine well, and only then move the edge of you hand out of the path of the handle.
Doing it any other way may cause the injury nicknamed “M1 Thumb.”
“There’s 9 bullets in a round of Buckshot...” [ModelBreaker, post 6]
In the 1950s and 1960s, US Army Ordnance experimented with various multi-bullet concepts.
One design stacked three 30 cal projectiles, nose to tail, into a 7.62mm NATO case. About 90 gr each.
Special-purpose shotshells were developed, that held small steel darts called flechettes. Dozens upon dozens in each hull.
The goal was to increase probability of hit by boosting the number of projectiles in the air at any given moment. It had already been concluded that most rounds fired from rifles missed, therefore a hit was not the result of aimed fire, but was essentially a random event.
A few years back some crazy left his NYC apartment with an M1 Garand. He fired one shot and killed one man.
The NY Times immediately began screaming for a ban on semi-auto rifles. All because of one shot.
This helps explain the “ .30 caliber round clip” that can be fired in less than a half second that jackass in California was jabbering about.
So.... shotgun shells?
I have never used 8 bullets in a round.
I do not think that word means what he thinks it means. Eight “bullets” in a Round… Inconceivable!
“eight bullets in a round.”
I have no idea what that means.
5.56mm
lulz!
Blunderbuss?
Assuming he means magazines, this just shows you can’t give them an inch when it comes to gun rights. 10 rounds, then 8, then 6...it never ends.
The same thing with AR-15s. Not an inch, because the ghouls won’t stop there.
In just one round?/s
I prefer the full power 10mm. FBI chicks could not handle it and we got the .40 Short & Weak abomination.
Joe is obviously limited to 8 brain cells in a, oh, you know the thing, the uh, round bony thing on top of the bigger thing with the arm and leg thingies.
Doesn’t he know that that detente with Russia already limits the number of rounds per bullet...
My thoughts exactly !!!
brandon is passing out new accessories over here !!!
