FNC co-host Brian Kilmeade said Tuesday on “Fox & Friends” said the Republican members who are refusing to vote for leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) House speakership bid were “looking like idiots.”
Kilmeade said, “If they said ‘Hey, listen, he won’t do anything on the border. He’s not doing anything with Hunter Biden. He is not going to do anything to go reduce spending.’ None of this is true, so it’s almost as if they’re debating things that are their egos, nothing to do with America. I’m not even talking about Republicans. Republicans or Democrats, they can’t grab onto anything except for, I guess, they want to get a little bit more notoriety in their lives.”

Kilmeade always seems to be on the wrong side of the issues, in my opinion. Some of that may be contrived, drummed up opposition, so that he doesn’t sit on the couch in complete aggreement with the other hosts. Nobody deliberately sets out to be a Bobblehead. He also seems in a perpetual snit about something unsaid on the air.

Former President Donald Trump threw his support behind Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) becoming the next speaker of the House as Republicans are poised to take back the majority on Tuesday night.
Trump previously endorsed the California Republican’s reelection bid but had not endorsed him for the leadership position, at times casting doubt about whether he would back him for the role. The former president has now waded into a number of leadership races, telling Fox News that McCarthy has his support as the House GOP conference gears up to hold its closed-door leadership elections next week.

If the Speaker’s position is brokered and filled by a Democrat, Kilmeade will be correct. We shall have to see how this plays out.
If a dim is elected speaker, it’s not the fault of those not voting for McC. It’s the fault of the DIMs in RINO clothing that vote for a DIM.
This back room negotiating is BS. The wannabe Speaker must put his cards on the table. If he now claims he is not the anti-Trump CA RINO that his record indicates, that he did not cause the loss of MANY RED seats in the mid-term election thus a much larger majority in the House, he should put up or shut up.
