an all-time high of $5.035 per ounce in
= = =

At about 12 pennies per pound, one penny is almost 42 cents.

That is for the older pure copper ones.

I don’t believe that $5 per ounce.

Maybe per pound?

😂😂😂😂😂😂 EV owners, they should bring their own charging cables. Mod the station with plug in jacks. Not that the thieves wouldn’t tear up the stations themselves. Or get zapped trying.

That’s price per POUND.

The writer is Canadian. All he knows are grams and kilograms.
I doubt he knows the difference between a ounce and a pound.

He most likely considered copper to be measured in the same way as gold, silver and platinum, which is TROY ounces. Which ARE NOT THE SAME AS Avoirdupois ounces..............

Yes, but the current required to charge your phone electromagnetically is orders of magnitude less than charging an EV, right? There might be other ways to charge an EV, but it seems like carrying charging cables would be the most practical. Which is probably why EV chargers currently use cables.
