School safety advocate Andrew Pollack, who lost his daughter in the Parkland, Florida shooting, pleaded with parents to take matters into their own hands in light of the Nashville school shooting, which claimed the lives of three adults and three children on Monday.
“A lot of these shootings, even the one that [just] took place, was avoidable in my eyes,” Pollack, whose daughter Meadow and 16 others were killed when a gunman opened fire at her school in Parkland in 2018, told Fox News on Tuesday.
“What we’re failing to note here is that parents need to wake up and demand that they have programs in place in their school like the Guardian Program in Florida. where there’s training for teachers, training for veterans, training for individuals that could work at these schools and be able to carry in the school,” he continued.
“We need to have officers in the schools, and you need to have plainclothes guards in the schools for instances like this.”

Compulsory education laws and “gun free” school zones are a toxic combination that will inevitably result in this kind of tragedy as our society collapses.

If her parents didn’t think she should own guns and she was living at home, even under treatment for an emotional disorder, clearly this was avoidable.
Unfortunately courthouses and politicians get better protection than children. Over time I see schools enacting those types of protections.
The billion we’re sending to Ukraine would more than pay for this. And for years to come.
“Parents need to wake up” — AND REALIZE THAT THEY SHOULD NOT SEND THEIR KIDS TO PUBLIC SCHOOL AND THAT TAXPAYER $$$ FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL IS FRAUD AND A WASTE.
P.S. — No rational parents should ever send their children on a daily basis to a facility that requires armed guards.
We need to get the psychos off the street. We need to build psychiatric institutions, identify these sick people and put them away. - Now!!
When America becomes less tolerant of schizophrenics, be they transgenders or other perverted lunatics, roaming free among decent, rational people, then and only then will these horrible shootings stop.
Totally hardened schools is the answer.
Outer fence. Inner fence. Metal detectors. Gate guard at outer fence allowing buses through. A team of 4-5 guards per shift. Door guards plus rovers. Sensors on fences.
Since kids are required to be inside the school or on grounds, anyway, this will really be no different except for metal detectors and more guards.
As the man says, 200 billion for Ukraine makes all this possible.
The recent shooting was not a public school. The witch shot through the doors.
The parents thought a private church school would be safer. There is no accounting for the insane.
Morons who are skeptical of the gender they were “assigned” at the hospital where they were born should be watched closely at all times. It’s possible that in the near future, those crazies could start identifying as pipe bombs or Abrams tanks.
