GOP Rep. Thomas Massie endorses DeSantis for 2024

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) endorsed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for president on Wednesday, becoming the second House Republican to throw their support behind the Florida governor — even though he has not launched a campaign for the White House.

In a statement released by the Never Back Down super PAC, which is supporting a DeSantis presidential bid, Massie called the Florida governor “a proven energetic leader.”

“America needs a leader who is decisive, respects the Constitution, understands policy, puts family first, and leads by inspiring,” Massie said. “That’s why I’m endorsing Ron DeSantis for President.”

“If we make the right choices, America’s best days are in front of us. Let’s pick a proven energetic leader who can get us there,” he continued. “Let’s choose Ron DeSantis for President.”

The only problem with your scenario is that I don’t think the RINOs will back DeSantis either.

If DeSantis is the candidate, Republican politicians will want Newsom to win to weaken America First Republicans. They want a pro war President and will prefer a Democrat who starts wars over Trump or DeSantis.

Just a side show, DeSantis isn’t going anywhere, we all know that. Massie, from what I’ve seen is better then most,
Let’s keep our eyes on the big picture .

Your right, he shouldn’t have stood for the right things at all. Ludicrous.

Nobody’s saying he shouldn’t have stood for the right things. But I am warning that it would be foolish to read too much into it. People say the right things all the time when it doesn’t matter. Some of them mean it and some of them don’t.

I really hope so. We need to start playing dirty. I hate to say that but we can’t keep being the punching bag.

Being right is pointless when you are on the wrong side of a 420-5 vote in Congress.

Someone who is that principled should be a governor or a CEO. He'll actually stand a chance of getting something done.

And even on merit, Massie's endorsement is ludicrous. Anyone who thinks the dope with the stupid mask on his face in this photo is a "proven, energetic leader" has a strange idea of what leadership is.

You think they cheated when so far they have over 10 percent and counting. No it’s because the democrats were motivated to get off their Butt’s and win it for their candidate. Gen Z we’re in line for hours. Where were our voters?

There is nothing wrong with having a good joust, which will be clarifying. Plus, it will keep our issues foremost in voters’ minds.

Right. SOMEONE has to do the right thing, and Massie has watermelon sized testicles. Like Trump, like DeSantis, like Rand and a few others.

Trump endorsed Massie’s opponent, who lost by 35 points.

Trump endorsed Massie in 2022...just sayin.

We had the most conservatives run for governor and they were kicked to the curb by voters in Arizona and Pennsylvania. We’ve lost more races then won since trump has been head of the party. Do you not see that? I mean we lost again in Wisconsin! Of all places!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I figured you would troll in with your insanity. Right on time.
Because we have too many people like you out there, elections will never be free and fair. You will never admit they are rigged with all the ballot harvesting so it will continue.
THAT is why you get zero respects here. Your view is as twisted as Alvin Bragg. Hell, I bet you cheered when he arrested Trump on completely bogus charges. Probably threw a little party.
trump claims the experimental shots are “safe and effective”...
Speaking of heavy metal...there must have been a lot of lead in the water where you grew up.
Trump pushed therapeutics every step of the way and the corrupt machine blocked him every step of the way.
Nope. Could have cared less. I actually have a life. As far as ballot harvesting, if it’s legal then we should be doing it. And it pissed you off when challenged. And sadly you yearn for respect and accolades on a website. That is pretty pathetic.
Instead of worrying about a guy “who hasn’t even announced yet”, maybe Mr MIT could worry about this:
The Democrats are NOT shaking in their boots because of Trump's popularity ratings after the indictment. The Dems are salivating because if Trump is the nominee in 2024, the RINOs will once again not do a damn thing about blatant cheating.
I disagree completely. I do concede that DeSanctis scored an important victory in the War Against the Machines. FL runs Dominion Systems, and as he never tires of stating, Ronnie won by 20 points.
I've read the key in FL was a group of whitehats penetrated Dominion's rear door and changed the data base recovery mode from differential to read-only. This effectively prevented vote flipping, and you better believe Scavino, Bannon and others are all over this to prevent a repeat of 2018, 2020 and 2022.
