A devastating 'supercell' tornado system has ripped through Kansas and Oklahoma, killing at least two people while levelling entire homes and leaving a trail of destruction across multiple counties.
The terrifying twisters tore through the Midwest Wednesday evening, while parts of Nebraska, Missouri, Texas and Iowa have also been placed under tornado and severe thunderstorm watches.
Tennis-ball sized hail and torrential winds cut across the region, leaving approximately 20,000 people in the dark after the storms downed powerlines.

There’s a video on Twitter from Reed Timmer last night having what I consider to be a very scary encounter with a multi vortex tornado...
Wow! That’s some pretty scary storm!
A clear sign of CLIMATE CHANGE!
Or, as we called it 50 years ago in the Midwest, Spring.
I would treat them like my children, say here is your spending limit and here is a spending plan in order to stay within those limits. Now you don’t have to abide by the spending plan but if you don’t come up with a similar spending plan you will exceed the limits and end up cutting yourself off and then you have to starve until you get more money in the future for spending. I understand that they can’t pass a budget or dedicate specific money and increasing the debt limit but what they can do is increase it just enough to allow them to stay within a spending plan which you can provide them.
Pinged the wrong article? It happens.
So you would treat these tornadoes like children? And demand they stay within your preset boundaries? How would you enforce this? I;m not saying it’s a bad idea.
I never even read this thread, LOL
I never even read this thread, LOL Free Republic just set my comment to the wrong thread
Ha. Can’t teach them tornadoes a damn thing!
I have lived in the mid west in my current home for 31 years and have had my roof replaced 5 times because of hail damage. Home owners insurance has paid every time except for $500 deductible each time.
The last time, a couple of years ago, it beat the crap out of my car too, $14,000 damage, car insurance paid for that, no deductible. Home owners insurance $700 per year.
oops stuff happens
