Go look at Twitter. The Democrats, RINOs, & Never Trumpers (such as the corrupt Lincoln Project) are carrying Trump’s water. They spend the bulk of their time attacking DeSantis.

It’s as if they want Trump to be the nominee.

Lowry talks about Trump not reigning in spending as if to contrast him with other Republican Presidents. Whether Conservative, Moderate or somewhere in between, there hasn’t been a Republican President in over 40 years who has reined in spending. And there hasn’t been a Republican candidate during that whole time who would have done any differently had he had been elected.

Yet they attack a governor — of Trump’s own state — who fights hard against the woke every day.

EXACTLY RIGHT. Trump actually did more conservative ACTIONS than any Republican since WWII.

“Of course, Trump’s personal power is such that he’s made loyalty to himself the standard for being considered right-wing...”

Absolute misreading of anything having to do with Trump support.

Lowery keeps his head up his ass.

Lowery, you squish, have you ever watched Trump in the campaign rallies and listened to what Trump says?

Wrong. Trump very easily won the primary last time. Which is what we are talking about here. Something that would be obvious to anyone paying the least bit of attention to the phrase “win over the GOP”.

Maybe the government should make cuts in all the other wasteful spending before cutting the benefits people paid into their whole life. They waste tens of billions on foreign governments and funding illegals who crossed our borders. Whoever runs on cutting social security will lose the election. I don't support cutting these benefits until they cut money to people like the palestinians and others who hate us. There's a lot of places to cut spending before they get to social security.

Trump needs to stop attacking DeSantis. He comes across as weak, and a bully. DeSantis has proven not to be a threat, and Trump should spend his energy elsewhere.

Do you expect GOP to win majority by excluding Republicans who do not pass litmus test on every issue?
No wonder with people like you the red wave fizzled.

Learn from the Gipper. He said if some one disagrees with you on 20% of issues, he is your friend, not enemy.

Conservatives are experts in excluding Republicans who are not lock step & barrel congruent with their ideology. Result is Biden & Kamala have the power to rule our lives.

Trump endorsed Ryan. In the primary, and more than once. Ryan was perhaps slightly less liberal then other RINOs. That’s not saying much.

Trump has learned his lesson about Paul Ryan.

DeSantis is currently ensconced in Paul Ryan World.

Your post was so nice I had to read it multiple times. You’ve illuminated the core rationale behind Trump’s foray into politics. He saw the absolute need for America First policies and none in the professional political class even had it on their radar. So he stepped in.

Trump’s got the toughest skin of anybody I have ever known. Future generations will give due respect to this great man for his sacrifices and for never giving up in the face of such intense political and administrative challenges.

I’m actually a fan of Governor DeSantis, so I’m certainly not going to get into any silly squabbles between Trump supporters and DeSantis supporters.

But having said that - President Trump is the true proven leader of MAGA, and he is being attacked from all sides. DeSantis supporters who join in on that attack against Trump are not helping the MAGA Movement one bit.

The fact that DeSantis supporters believe they are attacking Trump “from the right” doesn’t make their attack somehow noble. Patriots need to unite around President Trump and defeat the Left - not bicker about who is more “conservative”.

DeSantis voted for Ryan twice for House Speaker when he was a Congressman.

Just going with the flow.

Rich Lowry is a George Will/Karl Rove neo-con RINO.

Once you understand this, the motive for the article becomes quite clear.

What I remember is Trump winning, and the steal in the middle of the night

You know? I remember the same thing! I also remember that people in important places said that there was no fraud. Courts said no standing. As it turns out there was fraud and deceit everywhere in the 2020 election starting with the 2016 government. The opposition candidate colluded with the justice system to spy on the GOP candidate then spied on him after he was sworn into office. The battle for Trump with the deep state was continuous. The latest revelation, which should put Blinken, Biden, and 51 others in prison, is the latest sample of the fraud perpetrated on the American people. Those in charge are playing a very, very serious game propping up this illegitimate feeble fool. That is a game where nations are consumed by other nations. I pray for our children.....

As many times as I have been redundant asking what actions has DeSantis taken that demonstrate he is beholden to the establishment, it is never answered by the Only Trumpers.

Who is more conservative on spending, Trump or DeSantis. you can go on ad infinitum from there.
