Simple, right? De Santis is the better candidate. Trump needs to retire and campaign for other Reps. For me, it’s all about electing conservatives and seeing to it that dems don’t win. For Trump, it’s all about Trump.

>> I’m unapologetically pro-DeSantis and will continue to be so until he’s either out of the race

He’s not IN the race.

> they’ll re-elect him [Biden] if he runs against Trump because they’ve been brainwashed/conditioned to fear and loathe DJT <

You are on to something there. And part of the problem is that Trump himself helped with that conditioning. His blunt manner (which I like) pushes away many folks in the squishy middle.

I’d feel better if Trump was learning from his understandable past missteps (I say understandable because Trump is a businessman, not a politician). But evidently Trump is not learning.

All polls are totally meaningless since the corrupt voting process hasn’t been corrected…. The cheating goes on and the elections will be fake again!
Quit wasting time thinking about polls and see to it the voting process gets fixed before the next election. Haiti and Iraq has more legit voting than we do!

No one did anything about the obvious vote dumps last time. What makes you think things will be different in 24?

These polls make sense, I know many who would vote for DeSantis but not for Trump. Trump cannot change anyone’s mind at this point.

Interesting. As an aside, if some portion of Hispanics decide they are white, then we are not doomed. Note the Rats still treat blacks like they are still the largest minority group. They are not.

No, Trump is at the age where he no longer learns from his mistakes, he just repeats them.

For these particular states, the numbers are where I would expect.

For all of Trump’s fan base — especially here on Free Republic — there is no way in hell he wins in ‘24. Between battleground state performance, soft independent numbers nationally, and the Dem cheat machine, we will be stuck with Biden or worse...

...Newsom.

And yes, there is a worse than Biden...

"Make of it what you will."

Make of it what you will? 538 is on life support and signing the consent forms to euthanasia, droop.

Has devolving into a Ronlim piñata rendered you just that completely incapable of doing even the slightest amount of research on the whore websites you try to pimp in service of the Florida Man Meatball? Or did you just want to tee it up yet again for me to punch down on you, zotbait?

538 was finished four months ago! You think 538 is doing any due diligence when Bald Pate Nate, the freaking founder, has all three feet out the door?

"In January 2023, The Daily Beast reported that the website was on the "chopping block" amid cost-cutting measures by ABC News, and a sale of the website was being considered.

It also noted that several key employees including managing editor Micah Cohen, politics editor Sarah E. Frostenson and sports editor Sara Ziegler had left the website and their positions had not been filled.

In April 2023, Silver announced that he would be leaving the site amid layoffs at ABC News, who said the website would be "streamlined" ahead of the 2024 election cycle; editor Chadwick Matlin was also laid off."

The GOP elite didn’t do a damn thing about the fraud in 2020 and 2022. So the Democrats are emboldened. The vote dumps are going to be worse in 2024.

I fear we are heading towards a one-party nation. The GOP will still hold a few governorships, and a few senate seats. But radical Democrats will be making all the important decisions (just like in California today).

We desperately need another charismatic GOP leader like Ronald Reagan. I once thought that would be Sarah Palin. I was wrong. Then I thought that it would be Donald Trump. I was wrong again.

Is there another Reagan out there somewhere?

He’s winning because the dems don’t vote. The mules and ballot collectors do it for them. If everyone had to vote in person this would be a conservative country. dems are to lazy to vote on their own.

"Trump loses to Biden in all of these states. Make of it what you will."

Here is 538 Bald Pate Nate, showing "Trump loses to Hillary in all of these states. Make of it what you will.", giving Cankles the presidency on Election Day 2016.

LOFL, droop.

I think what some people on our side don’t comprehend is that there are millions of voters in this country who think Biden has done a terrible job and in normal times would vote against him but they’ll re-elect him if he runs against Trump because they’ve been brainwashed/conditioned to fear and loathe DJT so much they don’t view it as a choice anymore.

Case in point, the 2022 midterms. There's no reason the Democrats did as well as they did. Inflation was booming, gas prices were high, parents were pissed over Covid school closures yet they mitigated their losses by running against Trump and his handpicked candidates.

LOFL, droop.

You guys are like Al Bundy, forever celebrating his four touchdowns in a single game as a high school football player.

There's been several elections since then and in none of them has Trump or his hand-picked candidates done well.

I’m coming around to the opinion that Trump can’t win, and DeSantis can’t win, and Biden can’t win, and Harris can’t win.

Interesting. As an aside, if some portion of Hispanics decide they are white, then we are not doomed.

I agree and DeSantis did very well among Hispanic voters in 2022.

At some point Hispanics are going to grow tired of the "Black Lives Matter 24/7/365" messaging from the Democrats.

He’s not IN the race.

He's clearly in the race.

He's just waiting to sign off on the repeal of Florida's "Resign to Run" bill.

There is no way he doesn't run.

Not only can he beat Joe Biden in these crucial swing states but unlike Trump, he's actually a conservative.
