Ukrainian Air Force denies reports Kinzhal hypersonic ballistic missile downed over Kyiv

“There was a possibility of the use of ballistic missiles, but none were detected,” Ihnat said in a comment to Ukrainian boradcaster Suspilne on May 5.

He also noted that some military officials have already received reprimands for spreading false information.

During the night of May 4, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. Ukraine’s Air Defense Forces later reported that they had shot down 18 out of 24 Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones, as well as a reconnaissance drone.

In the morning, the Kyiv authorities announced that all enemy targets — drones and possibly ballistic missiles — had been destroyed in the capital. However, the Air Force did not confirm information about Russia’s use of ballistic missiles, stating that it would take several days to confirm.

On May 5, the Defense Express publication reported that a hypersonic Kh-47 Kinzhal missile could have been shot down over Kyiv that night. The publication claimed to have received photos of missile debris from their own sources.

Who to believe?

After you rule out our media, our politicians and the entirety of the Global Elite, the "who to believe" becomes clearer.

This consumed the “Ukraine war news cycle” for a day and a half.

And it was bullshit.

“Ukraine uses US Patriot defense systems to shoot down Russian hypersonic missile”

Note that the headlines is PURPOSELY deceptive by not stating that it was a “claim”, or “unverified claim”...but intended to get Americans to think: “Oh goody, we can shoot them all down, so we’re good for more escalation, even direct combat. I guess those Putin puppets were trying start a panic by claiming we can’t stop Russian missiles”.

This is how you prepare a country for a war that you will lose.

Believe your own eyes, if you think those pictures are even close to the results of downing a hypersonic missile

Even the Ukrainian Air Force finds this claim and photo embarrassing https://news.yahoo.com/ukrainian-air-force-denies-reports-132000149.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall

Believe the Ukrainian Air Force

Ukrainian Air Force, a day later, now says it shot down the kinjal, when they recovered proof.

The confirmation comes after, on Friday, the spokesperson of the Air Force, Iurii Ignat, vehemently rejected the information from the press on this topic: “I told you a thousand times that it is not so (…) No missiles were registered ballistic”.

On Saturday, however, the Air Force Telegram account admitted that the information was real: “Congratulations to the Ukrainian people on a historic event! Yes, I took down the “unmatched” Dagger (Kinjal in Russian)!”

“It happened during a night attack on May 4 in the sky of the Kiev region. The X-47 missile was launched by a MiG-31K from Russian territory,” the quoted source said, also referring to “information that the enemy can use” – a possible explanation for the previous official position.

Helluva lot of kinetic energy there, when a downed mach 10 bunker buster missile shaves off some turf and half-buries itself in the ground

The ukes should make that a postage stamp
