The impeachment was literally being voted on—and it passed!— AS the petition was being sent out.

This railroading of Paxton becoming a NATIONAL ISSUE, and that is NOT good for the Texas GOP, most of whom were former Democrats dressed in Political Drag.
So, they gave it a shot over a holiday weekend, hoping that no one would notice.
We noticed, and now the Texas Senate, which does have some conservatives in it, will be forced to take a stand.

For the protection of Texas Conservatism, and the attorney general, that is not, will not and cannot be an option.
The only option is for all American conservatives to stand strong with Ken Paxton, and let our voices be heard in the Texas State Senate.

Yes, that’s sort of my point. Make America Great Again (MAGA) was actually Ronald Reagan’s campaign slogan before Trump. Trump doesn’t own it. It will be here after he’s gone, whether his devotees understand this or not. But Trump doesn’t have to die to lose the MAGA mantle. Coming out of the closet supporting big government spending and gay marriage and untested DNA injections is more than enough to have cost him the title already.

Yes, they supposedly used the slogan after Reagan. They obviously weren’t representing the conservative grass roots movement though. That picked back up steam with the Tea Party and Trump.
But time has proven Trump doesn’t represent grass root conservative principles. He’s a big spending NY liberal who captured people’s imaginations by promising to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it, but never did either one.
But facts or accomplishments don’t seem to matter to his supporters, just making people mad on social media.

No doubt, Trump’s power over his base comes almost 100% from his “mean tweets” which are essentially worthless.
They don’t even carry the same legal weight as one of those sternly written letters from someone, yet for some reason Trump supporters equate Trump’s keyboard warrior and golf cart lifestyle as actually getting things done.
It’s why they excused him to take leave from dealing with the election fiasco for all of 2021, so he could go build that stupid website instead.
I think it’s also the sense that Trump is the ONLY one who “fights”, it may not be effective, but at least he’s trying.
Well, they do raise a lot of money for Democrats.
He certainly doesn't fight for election integrity.
