I think it’s also the sense that Trump is the ONLY one who “fights”, it may not be effective, but at least he’s trying. Yep, it's all about building that image as a fighter, verses actually fighting. If Trump were serious about fighting he would have set up in Washington DC like Obama did when he left office. Keep his feet on the ground and his ears to the walls. Trump went to party in Florida instead.

There's been static towards Paxton dragging along for years. His office goes to investigating and shuttering the child mutilation schemes around the state and then *bam* instant impeachment. Looks like big pharma called in some markers.

Also the benefactor segment, who contribute all sorts of resource backing, and sit on the boards and so forth. You bet they were burning up the phone lines to the state reps they've dropped campaign money on. When Dell children' in Austin and the one in Houston got enforced Paxton touched the third rail with that crowd.
