I’m waiting for the “Barbie for President” bumper stickers to come out.
And I thought making movies about comic book heroes was inane! Mindlessness has plumbed new depths!
It made money probably more for the brand strength than the quality of the film. Wouldn’t assume there’s appetite for a sequel.
Feminists with sons can take them to see the Barbie movies so they will grow up to be Barbie and not Ken.
don’t kid yourself...this is an intro to the gay/tranny movement....just like sesame st...disney..
I look forward to not watching any Barbie sequels.
Duh.
I was confused by an ad I saw on TV yesterday. It depicted “Flo” and her buddies from the “Progressive” insurance ads in a pink setting, making puns and comments about the Barbie movie. But then at the end, it cut to the Barbie movie logo, not the Progressive logo. I couldn’t tell if it was a Progressive ad or a Barbie movie ad.
Ken will get pregnant and Barbie will sporting a schlong.
Just based on how popular the movie is, I expect sequels to be made, as they turn Barbie into a franchise.
I don’t know anything about the story or any of that. Just based on the money, a sequel seems inevitable.
They could make a great action movie ...Barbie gets her ass kicked by GI Joe and Major Matt Mason
I thought she demanded that there be no sequel.
The next one will lose money
Skipper?
If something makes a billion dollars... A sequel isn’t a ‘will there be one’... It’s a ‘how fast can we release one? And then another and another and another.’
Greta turned a minor part in Saturday Night Live into a billion dollar industry... Good for her.
Sequel, cartoon show, etc
There are already action figures of course. /snicker
This will be the perfect movie to determine gender assignments for children...
If you’re a boy and you really like Ken, you should be a girl.
If you’re a girl and you really like Ken, you should remain as a girl.
If you’re a girl and you really like Barbie, you should remain as a girl.
If you’re a girl and you really like Ken and Barbie, you are bi and should remain as a girl... Just in case.
Why not. People are dumb enough to blow their money on this crap somebody will always be glad to take it from the idiots
It is truly depressing that this movie has done so well.
