What if they get an actual constitutional amendment identifying Jews as subhuman nonpersons? What if they get an actual constitutional amendment that declares: “from each according to (insert pronoun here)’s abilities to each according to it’s needs”?

What if they get an actual constitutional amendment that revokes the 2nd Amendment? Are you OK with that?

I respectfully disagree!

Many, many, many accept that it is a baby, AND DON’T CARE!
As long as their live goes on unaffected by their “choice”.
Disgusting!

In a world where birth control options are many, they rather kill!

If they go through the correct process to add an amendment to the constitution, yes.

Because if I am in such a vast minority that they could get 2/3’s of both houses of Congress and 2/3 of the states to agree, then they should be able to do what they wish. And I will simply live my life how I wish knowing how lost they are.

You cannot legislate morality.

ALL legislation is morality!

Exactly. You cannot legislate morality is a a silly notion. If you can legislate immorality, you can surely legislate morality.

I’m surprised so many FReepers cannot see this is agit-prop from the Hill. Designed to de-emphasize the great advances made against abortion since the Supremes rightly returned this matter to the states.

It seems many FReepers would quit on an abortion agenda if it meant their other GOP ideas could be advanced.

It’s also the case that everyone who has followed this closely knew this would be the outcome. Of course there was going to be a bit of a backlash, especially given the power of the media in this country. But overruling Roe was a necessary first step to saving babies. Already there have been many laws put into place that have done just that. It took decades to get to a point where Roe could be overruled. It may take just as long if not longer for things to change state by state. That’s fine. That’s our form of government. But getting rid of Roe and Casey was the necessary first step. Passing any legislation in that area was pointless without doing so.
