Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that special counsel Jack Smith had “almost a slam dunk” case against former President Donald Trump with the classified documents charges.
Anchor Kasie Hunt said, “So, let’s talk now about the presidential race. We are 72 hours from the first Republican presidential debate. It’s going to be missing the front-runner, Donald Trump, the former president. He is facing federal charges over his efforts to overturn the election. And you did vote to convict him in his impeachment trial after January 6, you said, quote, because he is guilty. The former Attorney General Bill Barr says that the charges that have been brought against him are responsible. Do you agree?”

Cassidy sounds like he may be one of Billy Barr’s D.C. Kabuki Theater Riverdancers. Plays the bass bagpipes.
.
About 3 Senators out of 100 support Trump.
They refused to Issue a single subpoena for 4 years 16-20 when the GOP had the Senate. All this stuff Comer is looking into is old as the hills.
By Design
The case must be garbage if this is his on the record opinion.😂
I mean the classified doc angle is a slippery slope.
The Espionage Act has never been applicable to President’s or ex Presidents regarding their retention of National Defense Information once they leave office. The Presidential Records Act has no penalty provision. Without an underlying crime vis a vis the Espionage Act or Presidential Records Act, there can not be any related conspiracy or obstruction charges either.
From what I am hearing, Jack Smith may have created a slam
dunk that will wind up with him in prison.
Stay tuned...
“GOP Sen. Cassidy: Jack Smith Has ‘Almost a Slam Dunk’ Case Against Trump”
Unlike the Ukraine Supporters, I think Trump should keep at it and hopefully get himself RE-ELECTED!!!
For if he doesn’t, then the Dems know how to take out ANY Republican candidate that can reach into their voter base.
There is a reason Moon Griffon, talk show host here in Louisiana, calls Cassidy “Psycho Bill.” He is an idiot, a democrat who merely changed party labels, not beliefs.
Ran about 27 K behind Trump, though percentage higher; Those were probably the smartest 27, 000 in Louisiana
+1.
I have a feeling the replacement political entity will be much more stringent than the milktoast, democrat humping, republican party.
POS.
If you don’t have anything good to say about Republicans keep your mouth shut. Geez we have enough problems without senators providing aid and comfort to the enemy. Cassidy should be charged with treason and executed
“The only question will be, what political entity will be the receiving party for the Trump voters?”
That’s easy, it’s here already.
It’s MAGA.
It’s not a Trump Cult. He believes in us, so we believe in him.
The next MAGA candidate that believes in us, will get the same support
They always have (remember Reagan Democrats?).
We now have Blacks for Trump, Mexicans for Trump, Women for Trump
It’s WE the People. All of of us.
MAGA is here to stay.
If your party abandons Trump and allows lawfare to railroad him, then it will deserve utter and complete collapse. I left the GOP years ago and until recently was part of the group who would vote for any Republican over a Dem. No more. I’m still here on FR because FR is still majority MAGA. I hope it stays this way.
Rino Cassidy would sell out his own family.

“Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” “
Of course.
CNN wouldn’t allow him on the air if he defended Trump and said Jack Smith doesn’t have a case.
And he ought to be excoriated for going on CNN, the propaganda arm of the democratic party.
