What’s a “lesser” speed trap? FEWER speed traps I can understand.
Exactly. I don’t pretend to know what laws they passed after Saint Floyd died in the state level, but there’s probably a bunch of criminal 1st legislation that made it next to impossible for police to be effective.
You could always get rid of the bad cops, however, they change the definition of “bad” to someone who dares make observations about certain demographics and is proactive.
The only purpose for many small towns to have police is revenue generation.
I really wouldn’t give a damn if the police in my town were dissolved.
This. If some criminal were to attempt to invade my house and I promptly ventilated the fool, my biggest problem would be the police wanting to confiscate my firearm for 'evidence'.
Absolutely agreed.
Yup. Nothing in my house or on my person is worth dying for.
The Communist left is letting the criminals do their work for them.
We have too many cops in rural America where folks can take care of law and order without much help.
The inner cities are the issue.
“Less government is always better. Always.
Let citizens act in the town’s best interest.”
Right answer.
We have too many cops and DAs etc. The Justice system is bloated.
there is a line between to much and too little.
Deciding where that line is can be hard.
Now that the communist are trying to take over.
Our country is in grave danger.
have they heard the song try that in a small town.
Those towns are solid red. Mainly the metro areas and certain areas of the iron range are blue.
I used to be 110% in support of our police.
Now? Not as much.
Why?
Too many cases of DA/cops (local, state, FBI etc) arresting the victims or the innocent and not the criminals.
Witness J6 prosecutions vs. Antifa/BLM killings/attacks/burnings/looting.
See what I mean?
The cops not there, fewer innocents/victims arrested and more perps dealt with.
“Next thing you know Pablo, who just crossed the border a month ago, is a cop.”
I got out of Miami when Alejandro started to happen.
I am still in support of every good and honest cop out there who risks their life for us on a near daily basis and doesn’t ask for any special recognition for doing so. There are still a great many good and decent cops in the nation- but they get drowning out by the cops who are liberal and who gladly persecute Christian white folks, or Trump supporters, and who get all the attention because what they do violates the rights of honest citizens.
I am a.ways encouraged when I see sheriffs refuse to carry out unconsituational laws because they are taking their jobs in their own hands, risking them, for the sake of the rights of others.
I have run into some ad cops- power drunk cops who shouldnt have been on tne force, but have also run into some very good cops who instead of throwing the book at me gave me a second chance and tried to help me even though at the time I resented it. I have seen cops take their lives in their hands willingly running towards danger I stead of away from it. (We have a relative who lives in ny city area that has some really harrowing cases he’s been on, and he tells us how he has to endure crap from drunk, drugged up perps all the time, day in and day out being in the city. I know that with my persona, ity, I could never stand there with some belligerent maniac inches away screaming in my face. That happens on a regular basis.
The cops in liberal districts thougn ARE a different story, no doubt. They have orphed into power drunk sheep who follow orders given to them by equally power drunk city officials who hate Christians and conservatives. No doubt, but even among those tainted cops are a goodly number of I’d wager of cops who d9nt violate rights even when ordered to do so- they stand back- and the best of them quit the force when they have had more than they can take, or get transfered to a less liberally hostile district.
I think probably it’s best to say that we d9nt trust cops from liberal districts which persecute co servatives and protect the criminals. I wouldn’t call those folks cops but rather lap dogs of the rabid left governors and mayors
I saw this myself in Bethel, North Carolina. Most of the officers on the force there were reservists. My guess is that a part time job was no longer worth putting up with the risk of being arrested themselves for non-crime of defending themselves from the likes of Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin or George Floyd.
Exactly - or worse, a channel for corruption. If a county has twenty or thirty town police chiefs, all of whom need to raise revenue to build their tiny empires, bad things are going to happen.
