In general our military should have a minimum of two domestic suppliers for everything they need (there might be some exceptions on a case by case basis)

I absolutely agree, but you would surprised how many MILSPEC (military specification) items are sole sourced. I can assure you that this problem has been going on for many many decades.

If you months ago Biden and announced that USA is now low on artillery emissions. The US emergency petroleum Reserve is at an all-time low. Now we learn that the military is low in camouflage. I guess it’s a bit of a side point, but I don’t understand why today’s military personnel wear camo so often. When in theater, yes of course. Otherwise, why?
