Prosecution Shows 2 Appraisals With Different Numbers, Same Date–3:48 p.m. Prosecutors showed former Cushman and Wakefield appraiser Douglas Larson two appraisal reports he dated Nov. 1, 2012. The reports had different numbers, and Mr. Larson was questioned as to which one he submitted to Capital One first. Mr. Larson said he didn't know.
Prosecutors then showed the 2011 and 2012 appraisals in granular detail, pointing out that the cost per square foot in 2011 was less than that of 2012, but a note stated that the 2012 price had gone up by 12 cents per square foot.

In 2008 our home was evaluated for little under $90,000. We sold it in 2016 for $160,000 It recently re-sold for just under a quarter million.
Granted we did make some improvements but nothing major.

I can quickly pick up on agendas usually, but sometimes with foreign publications I find it hard to know much about the source, sauce, financing, etc…
Our home value went up enough to raise our property taxes by $2,400. And we didn’t do anything. No no, inflation isn’t affecting me at……….
We bought our current homestead when prices were fairly low and our taxes can only raise by a certain percentage every year so they have not gone up that much but still enough to bite.
Loans were paid back, there was no victim. So where is the crime?

Don’t recall where I saw it but the prosecution was quoted using assessed value, which is always substantially lower that fair market value based on sales of comparable properties. Apples and oranges.
