Hamas representatives are in Moscow, according to Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

“I can also say and confirm that representatives of the relevant Palestinian movement are on a visit to Moscow,” she says in a briefing, reported by the Russian RIA Novosti outlet.

The outlet had earlier reported that Hamas politburo member Moussa Abu Marzuk was leading the delegation.

Zakharova says that Iranian deputy foreign minister Ali Bagheri Kani is in Moscow as well.

Not that there’s really much doubt, but unless the Russians come out and publicly condemn the atrocities that Hamas committed (and still is, by holding hostages), then it will become crystal clear where Russia and its leaders stand.

This is Russia, and Putin’s, moment to decide between morality and savagery, between life and death. He can certainly be opposed to Israel and in favor of those whom he chooses to have as allies (temporary or otherwise). Even allies can criticize each other. But unless he condemns the atrocities, he’s implicitly approving of them. Time to choose, Vlad.

it’s been almost 3 weeks now since Hamas attacked Israel

if Putin really didn’t like the baby-murdering and kidnapping, he would have said something by now

and so far, crickets ...

** NOTE - Hamas attacked on Putin’s birthday ... “there are no co-incidences” ...

“...Hamas politburo member...”

The fact that Hamas has a ‘politburo’ tells me a lot.

Fools like you and your betters in DC used Ukraine for some personal corruption, tried and failed in a strategic play against Russia, made them the USA's direct enemy -- and now you are butthurt they are having meetings with the USA's enemies.

Here, on full display, is the wisdom of US neocons.

Hence why I said that there was really no doubt. But this is another opportunity for him - and most definitely the last one from a moral perspective. Also, I’m not under any illusions that even IF he says something in public that it will have any actual effect in changing the behavior of the Hamas savages.

lol, more of your Kremlin paranoia

Russia has always been America's enemy ... that's why it keeps thousands of nuclear missiles aimed at the US

friends don't do that

Russia has always been America's enemy

And Oceania has always been at war with Eurasia .

Thomas Massey

I condemn the barbaric attack on Israel and I affirm Israel’s right to defend itself.

However, I will not be voting for House Resolution 771 today because:

1) It calls for sanctions on a sovereign country. Sanctions are a prelude to war and hurt the citizens of the country more than the government of the country that’s being sanctioned. And ultimately, sanctions create laws that will be used to prosecute American citizens (who engage in trade), not citizens of the sanctioned country. In short, sanctions do not achieve their stated purposes but do breed resentment of our country abroad.

2) It asserts the necessity of foreign aid commitments which I have voted against. Our country is going bankrupt and we can’t afford to borrow money to send overseas, yet this resolution states that we should.

3) It contains an open-ended promise of military support that is so broad that it could be interpreted to commit US soldiers to the conflict. US troops should not be engaged in this conflict.

4) It tends to broaden the conflict to other countries when it would be better to keep the war contained geographically.

Here’s a link to the text of the resolution, which contains some statements I do support and some statements I cannot support.

Are you one of the uneducated that celebrated the Nazi because he fought Russians in WW2?
Anyone should have immediately known the Russians were our ally and were Nazi enemies. Russia lost more lives during WW2 than any other ally country.

Not like Russia can give them arms, tanks or ammo. Max of ‘giving’ is probably giving them a pat on the back and encouragement.
