A “magnet” high school usually a good school.
On the other hand, any school with the word “alternative” in it is bad news.
But you never can tell for sure. The urban school district where I taught started a “traditional academy”. Students had to apply for a slot there. They were expected to wear school uniforms, study the Classics, and adhere to a strict code of conduct.
But then central administration appointed an insane woke principal to run the school. Par for the course. That principal turned a traditional academy into an alternative school.
The biggest victims in the whole mess were the naive students who applied to that school, hoping to get a solid education. They sure didn’t get it.

That school didn’t appear to be integrated. I’ll bet a little diversity would straighten things out. Maybe bring in some children of recent “immigrants.”
It would be great to see black 'leaders' focusing on how civilized people are supposed to act. I would love to see them preach accountability instead of blaming it on things like 'white privilege'. There are a few who do this, but they don't usually grab the headlines. And to be honest, the Democrat party prefers them to be perpetually stirred up, as it keeps them on reservation.
This is exactly what the media and public government schools want. They support it and they teach hate. Don't believe me just look how many videos there are of mobs of blacks attacking a single white person. They routinely kill each other, but their preferred targets are generally white folk. Every week, every day this happens.

I taught for decades in an urban school. It was better than the one in the video. But not that much better. I survived by bobbing and weaving until I had enough seniority to teach the better kids.
And I will say this. Even in my worst classes, maybe 85% of the kids were good. They had attendance problems. But when they were there, they tried.
0h, but that other 15%. They were constantly disruptive. Some had criminal records, including murder. In the old days (before the year 2000) principals would side with the teachers, and try to maintain order.
Then came the woke administrators. Teachers were always wrong. Students were always right.
Any young person who wants to “make a difference” by going into urban education today is dangerously naive.
Looks like self defense. The kid used the knife when he was on the ground getting kicked by three other people. The kid did not appear to throw the first punch. It sucks to only bring Jordans to a knife fight.
Sigh.
It’s like feedin’ time at the monkey house!
In primarily Caucasian schools, choir singing “Men of Harlech” should be mandatory.
Everyone on here who thinks the melanin pigment causes behavior has a problem with low IQ.
