the fair and orderly adjudication of this criminal proceeding,
which justified protective action by the district court. We
affirm in part and vacate in part the district court’s Order to best accommodate the competing constitutional interests at
stake, as required by Landmark Communications.”
Affirmed: “Specifically, we affirm the Order to the extent it prohibits all parties and their counsel from making or directing others to make public statements about known or reasonably foreseeable witnesses concerning their potential participation in the investigation or in this criminal proceeding.”

I see news about upholding the Trump gag order. I am completely confused as to what’s going on here.

Not being a lawyer then I would need examples to understand exactly what that means.

Is it possible the title of this thread is misleading or maybe even flat out wrong?
Not ONE WORD about the Constitution which is exactly the basis of federal judges’ jurisdiction.

They don’t want witnesses intimidated or potential jurors led to prejudge the credibility of witnesses. I dont think it’s unreasonable
But the new court order says Trump has the free speech to talk about that same person in every other way (and listed an example post from Trump against the same person but didn't speak specifically about how that person would testify about this case, so the new court order that example of free speech from Trump is protected). In situations like that, this District Court order fusses about the lower court restricting Trump's free speech too much. IMHO, it has good language in that regard saying that our protected free speech is especially about Trump or anybody else being able to criticize government. It also reminded the lower court that it'd be unfair to hamstring Trump as a candidate to not be able to rebut the many criticisms he's getting, including criticisms that fuss at Trump regarding this case. They say Trump can speak publicly all he wants about this case ---- as long as he doesn't specifically criticize someone's testimony, especially future testimony (I'll bet he'll say blah blah blah because he's blahb blah blah).
It is not the title of the linked article. I notified the mods that the correct title is
“Appeal from the United States District Court for the District of Columbia (No. 1:23-cr-00257-1).” Whether the poster’s title is true, I am not sure (maybe partly true).
Chutkan is playing right into Trump’s hands.
