The city of Huntington Beach, California, one of the last conservative strongholds in the deep-blue state, has voted to cancel all of the separate month-long celebrations for various identity groups in favor of a celebration of the common history of the town.
Huntington Beach, also known as “Surf City USA,” has opposed the left-wing State of California on a variety of policies, such as beach closures during the coronavirus pandemic; mask and vaccine mandates; “sanctuary state” laws; and mandatory low-income housing.

The withholding of any kind of state funding by miffed libs is probably already in the works.
It’ll happen sooner than that and it will be a massive lawsuit.
Our little town worked hard to preserve it’s “village” character (single family homes, cute downtown area) but the city squashed us with threatened lawsuits, so we caved in and put together the “housing element” in our plan that the state demanded. The town has been fully built-out for 60 years, but the state insists that we do our “fair share” and cram in more and more low income housing.
Middle and high income earners are leaving the state in droves so it won’t be long before all that’s left are low income people.

Surf Nazis Rule! Junk the month long weeper deals. Most blacks don’t even like MLK anymore. Heck a black lady tried to burn his house down. End the whole lot of them—Only days to keep—St. Pattys, Cinco de Mayo, an Junettenth. Days to drink and party.
I used to fish off the Huntington Beach pier. I usually caught “Pasadena trout” (white croaker, also locally called tom cod). A fishing license wasn’t required to fish off the pier, and I think that is still the case, but the fishing isn’t that great anymore.
HB makes so much money from property taxes they probably can afford it.
