Nancy Mace: ‘We Are Losing the Fight on Abortion Every Single Day’
Breitbart ^ | 01/01/2024 | Jeff poor

Posted on 01/01/2024 2:10:34 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

During an appearance on this week’s broadcast of FNC’s “MediaBuzz,” Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) proclaimed her pro-life stance. However, she reiterated her criticism of Republicans and how they are handling abortion.

“You have taken a lot of heat, especially from the right, for saying Republicans have to change the way that they talk about abortion,” FNC host Howard Kurtz said.

“Absolutely, absolutely, and we are losing the fight on abortion every single day. We all know that being pro-life, and I’m pro-life, is the compassionate way forward, is the compassionate policy. But we’re losing the fight because we’re not being compassionate to women. We are throwing it back in their face. You look at the Texas ruling. That is a very emotional ruling. Most women, the vast majority, agree with the woman whose baby had Trisomy 18. That she should have the option to make a decision, not the state, not bureaucrats on a panel in Texas to decide what to do that’s a very intimate and very painful decision for women.”

If being against the mass murder and torture of innocent children makes me a zealot, then I accept your insult as a badge of honor.

#120 - not a good look, my advice for you is to report abuse to the Mods and to apologize for your comment. We all make mistakes.

I pinged the mods to delete it. Not because I disagree with what I wrote, --I don't, --but because this place is still the abode of geriatric Boomer snowflakes who still think it's 1980.

The place for action is through a church outreach to at risk mothers. Provide them a support system during pregnancy and AFTER birth. Far too often the right says you must have this baby and is obsessed with it making it to term then says welp our job here is done good luck raising it. They walk away and say now support and raise this child oh and don’t you dare ask.for welfare for a child we forced you to have.

It’s delusional to think you are going to convince her to “keep her legs closed” until marriage. She could be convinced to take birth control if it’s provided to her at low or zero cost or over the counter easy. or given the option of a plan C two pill sequence very early on so it’s medically no worse than a heavy period flow. Again if any of the fly over older white men think for one second they can tell a woman in her 20,30s what, who, and when she can do with her body please do so in camera so the world can witness the absolute venom that will be visited upon them. This is why elections are lost that venom is real and a powerful motivator. Young men and women will come out in droves to smack down that hubris.

If

Trisomy 18 (Edward’s Syndrome) is different from Trisomy 21 (Down’s syndrome). Trisomy 18 has a much worse prognosis.

Heaven is filled with millions of aborted souls. I am not judgemental, let the Lord sort out the murderous. I can only go forth and win souls for Jesus. Right?

Are the individual women guilty of murder or is the practitioners of this slaughter, or both?

I know what scriptures say about harming the innocent ones. But vengence is not mine.

Some women are weirdos, and some women are righteous in the eyes of the Lord. The weirdos know who they are and what they have done. It is saddening that some should be tormented all the days of their lives. The evil ones will perish, but they will have an understanding of their unrepentant sin at that certain hour.

They who have heard, and continue on with their unrepentant lives - They missed their chance. Simply put, they will cease to exist.

Sad story. But true.

My wife had two second trimester miscarriages both required DNCs or she would’ve died. She had never had an abortion in her life and those medically lifesaving DNCs made further pregnancy much harder. They were not going to let her try to pass dead fetal tissue past 14 weeks you HAVE to do the DNC.

Removal of a baby that died is nowhere near the same thing as actively killing the baby. None of the laws passed in Blue States would prevent such.

That wasn’t the point the point was that the damage and risk to the uterus is exactly the same. She took nearly a year to have proper cycles and be fertile again. Her obgyn doctor told her that if she had needed that late of a dnc under the new laws which went into effect a few months after the second DNC they would’ve required a court order to do the procedure. This was due to her doctor not wanting to risk a $100,000 fine and 20 years in jail because of Texas draconian laws. This is not hear say I was in the exam room having this conversation with our OBGYN less than a year ago. This is why I said reproductive health is between a woman her doctor and her spouse the Fing state has ZERO business regulating morality when we as a country do not share a common morality. Freedom cuts two ways and that’s just how it should be.

If Texas had referendum I would 100% vote for a constitutional amendment taking the state right out of reproductive health given that experience and the very real possibly of a third miscarriage in the future. Medical at every stage without question the doctor’s orders no court reviews,no boards nothing but a woman her spouse of present and a doctor. I would walk over broken glass to vote for that amendment and give tens of thousands of dollars in support for it. We can negotiate the weeks for elective surgery but medical is never up for review and in Texas the law is poorly written on purpose to keep doctor’s from having the first and final say.

“Look at it this way.... Trump, Nikki, DeSantis, etc.... have ALL compromised their pro-life rhetoric in the interest of getting votes and support.”

That is getting women’s votes. Damned 19th amendment.

Merely heard?

The Bible is more specific than that. There’s a reason for the coming resurrection of the dead, and it’s for those who did hear but whose hearts were numbed to the truth at the time they heard, not just for those that never got to hear. The lake of fire is for those who did hear and repented but later turned away and actively fought against God in bitterness and/or those who refuse to hear during the resurrection.

This country is FINISHED PERIOD if it rejects God and that losertarian fiscal crap is MEANINGLESS without God.

Contrary to the benign belief you libertarians have, this country’s rise did NOT happen in a vacuum of its own merits.

The country is done. Period.

“Even Trump said the Evangelicals were not protesting in the 2022 Elections.”

Not being an evangelical or religious in any way, Trump doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

We don’t adopt trashy show-offy BLM protest methods.

We usually don’t do show-offy sidewalk picketing and praying. It’s very Pharisaical. God condemns public praying when it’s done to draw attention to yourself, which this definitely is. (Pray in your “closet”.) It gets attention and arrests, but when has it truly helped the cause — the main thing?

We “protest” by supporting pro-life organizations, having pastors being bold in the pulpits to inspire and motivate members to be involved, working one-on-one with parents (especially mothers) in trouble.

And we pray. God actually hears prayers of Christians when they AREN’T putting on a show.

So Trump can whine all he wants to, but he’s clueless about the doctrines and principles of evangelicals, or any denomination for that matter.

His conversion from pro-abortion to pro-life was a practical event regarding a couple in his life. It wasn’t a literal come-to Jesus moment. However he got there, we’re all glad he did. I’ve supported him from Day One, and still do.

We’ve all said it, i.e., that sometimes he doesn’t think before he opens his mouth.

First of all, if the facts are incorrect the argument can be dismissed without consideration. Trisomy 18 is not Down’s Syndrome. The vast majority of babies born with Trisomy 18 die before birth or within a few days after, very unlike babies with Down Syndrome.

It doesn’t make sense to continue such a pregnancy when the mother’s health is at risk, and she doesn’t want to take that risk. I think she and her doctors should make the decision. Each situation is complex—too complex to make laws that are adequate. Congresswoman Mace is correct about that, and it’s a losing issue.

Elijah’s parents should have been better supported by the medical community. Our healthcare “system” is a disaster.

She’s right, but for the wrong reason(s).

It’s why half the country believes most conservatives and Republicans are bigoted, racist rich people who only care about themselves- -there’s very little pushback by the GOP establishment, and what little there is most certainly isn’t reported in the legacy media.

Somehow, the GOP needs to break through and explain why they value life, or at least state’s rights as regards abortion.
