WASHINGTON — A closely-divided Supreme Court on Monday allowed Border Patrol agents to cut through or move razor wire Texas installed on the U.S.-Mexico border as part of an effort by the state to prevent illegal border crossings.
The court on a 5-4 vote granted an emergency request filed by the Biden administration, which had argued that Texas was preventing agents from carrying out their duties.
The brief order noted that four conservative members of the nine-justice court would have rejected the government's request. They were Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Samuel Alito, Justice Neil Gorsuch and Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Actually, Barret is no surprise. She is not a conservative on anything but abortion. The surprise is Kavenaugh siding with the conservatives. This court has two real conservatives, Alito and Thomas; three radical leftists, Brown, Soromeyer and Kagan; and four wishy washies: Roberts, Kavanaugh, Barrett and Gorsuch.
Do you think they rotate who gets to be in the 4 or the 5 so they can keep up appearances?
So can Texas just shoot the invaders, then?
Barrett is now a surprise when she’s on the right side of things. All that BS she flung during her confirmation about following the law while the only thing she actually follows is the useless John Roberts.
With Barrett, I’m not sure. During confirmation, she said she would look at things on a case by case basis.
