A family in Glasgow, Montana is accusing the state’s child protective services of “kidnapping” their teenage daughter after the girl began to identify as a transgender “boy.” Krista and Todd Kolstad spoke to Reduxx about their ordeal, revealing that the child had been removed from their care and was now going to be sent to Canada.
Krista, the child’s step-mother, explains that their nightmare began in August of 2023 after they received a call that their 14-year-old daughter, Jennifer*, had expressed suicidal ideations while at school.
“She had always had problems at school,” Krista says, noting that she and Todd had even pulled her from one district and sent her to another due to issues with bullying in an effort to give her a fresh start. But despite experiencing some real-world hardships, Krista claims Jennifer also had some undiagnosed mental health concerns, including attention-seeking behavior.

Also, if your children are in a public school, get them out of there immediately, no matter the sacrifices needed. It matter not that you live in a conservative state and assume that the rot hasn't spread there. This poor family probably thought this could never happen to them given they live in a conservatives state.

A little bit tangential (no tranny angle), but the school district in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho is suffering some serious problems. It has a $6 million deficit. They are thinking about a four-day school week to solve the problem!
We watched the game with some good friends yesterday and their daughter is a teacher in the school district. Mom told us that the whole high school experience is collapsing. Kids won’t go to dances anymore because of social media. They are scared to death other kids will video them dancing awkwardly or hanging out with the wrong crowd. Then the video goes up on social media and your life is ruined. The school is down to just TWO dances in the entire year now, Homecoming and Prom. We learned that many of the high school kids are all working long hours at low-paying jobs to get gas and phone money and their grades are suffering as a result. By not learning, they are assuring a future with low-paying, dead-end jobs.
We learned enrollment is collapsing, down something like 30% in an area that is growing. Homeschooling is taking a big toll on the school district.
There was a big CRT brouhaha here a couple years ago that seemed to have gotten resolved, but this probably caused a lot of parents to yank their kids from the schools and homeschool.
What a mess.

I would have gotten life if this happened in my family.
And is going to make your quality of life much worse in ways you can not imagine.
No matter how much info your doctors give you the reality will be much worse than described.
They did put up a good fight against a potential BLM protest so there is hope.
Idaho is known for its poor schooling. Sad to see that it's sinking even lower though.

You had a good story until you came to this line.
I don’t think any high school kids are working jobs.
Public school enrollment here is steady or growing where there is a significant population increase. However, my own city just cancelled planning for a third high school which isn’t expected to be needed now.
So if the state let’s her go through the hormone therapy and sex change surgery and then 5 or 6 years from now when she regrets that I”m sure the state will send her home and tell her parent and tell them “lotsa luck”.
14 years old. Way to young to make such as life altering decision.
If this can happen in Montana of all places, just imagine how it will be in a liberal state.

All it takes is ONE mentally ill person to influence a child under the guise of ‘wanting to help them’ and those children could permanently be put on a different path away from being happy or mentally healthy.
The gays know they can’t breed more gays (more partners, more political power) without help so why not just cultivate them.
Early. Out of the parents’ reach. With the law on their side.
