“Every single teenager and most adults including notable biblical characters and countless historical figures have pondered ending the burden of living in this world.”
I haven’t.
Good work ethic here in Idaho. Lots of kids are working.
But it’s often “I need to work”
“Why do you need to work?”
“To pay for my gas.”
“Why do you need gas?”
“To get to my job.”
Homeschooling is the right choice.
Parents can work together to make it an outstanding experience.
In this area the local church has lots of sports and other in person activities for home schooled kids.
“Do children who “transition”, in either direction, have to register for the draft?”
I think those are the ones the military is actively recruiting.
The girl began to identify as a transgender.
She requires therapy not removed from her home.
The state is engaging in child abuse.

Thanks for that link. I had not previously read that article.

Remember when you became a tranny to get out of the Army?
I agree with that.
I had my first job at 15, then got another job at 16 to pay for my car and to pay for my gas and insurance and went to work to pay for all of it. That’s how the system works. I went to school with a lot of kids who didn’t work but they still got to drive?
Which Montana family was unwilling to simply shoot the bastids trying to kidnap the girl? Really?
“I just read the entire story. My God, is that heartbreaking and absolutely infuriating.”

The entire saga shows that in each and every instance of involvement by the government actions were taken to further harm the teen rather than help resolve her problems. Officials took some slightly abnormal teenage behavior and escalated it into full-blown psychosis. If parental boundaries have been allowed, rather than prevented by the child services and courts, the teen would have probably moved through the phase and turned into a normal person.
“...removed from their care and was now going to be sent to Canada.”
Next the parents will be told that their daughter opted for euthanasia. Here are her effects and a bill for the cremation.
“Next the parents will be told that their daughter opted for euthanasia. Here are her effects and a bill for the cremation.”
There is actually more than a zero percent chance of that exact thing happening. Probably about 50/50.
What’s up with this - “… and was now going to be sent to Canada.”?
Can I get one of my neighbors sent there for being an egotistical whiner?

So true. My son and d-i-l both found employment that works with their schedule so that their children can be home schooled. Yes, their standard of living may be a bit less than many would settle for. Both their vehicles are over ten years old (yet regularly serviced) and they cook 95% of their meals at home. Their vacations are in a tent at a state park. HOWEVER, all their children score at least two years above their grade level on standard tests. The children are friends with other home-schooling families and do not suffer from a lack of social interactions (a standard excuse used by the left). They do lack social engineering from the progressive left but we count that as a plus rather than a negative.
Creating recipes and cooking a meal is part of their home-ec classes, as is washing their own clothes, and calculating their balances in their savings accounts. They can finish their “formal” schooling paperwork (math, spelling, science, etc) in two or three hours per day.
Homeschooling can be done IF parents are willing to make the few sacrifices to make it happen. They just have to ask themselves if their children are worth it.
I just read it as well. Judge giving custody to birth mother who abused the kid and her sister and brother and has little to no contact with the child. Yet Judge feels this is best for Jenny. It’s not going to end well.
If this can happen in Montana, it has already happened everywhere else, routinely...
While the serfs sleep, the communists reap...
“They just have to ask themselves if their children are worth it.”
I am hard core on this topic—if they don’t think their kids are worth it they are lousy parents imho.
Living a modest lifestyle is a great example to set for kids—not a sacrifice in any way.
