The allegations, if true, might well have cost him his star, and seen him retired as an O6, if they came to light while he was retired. But taking his star after he retired? I expect memoirs to be a lot less candid if this is a thing for retired service members who haven’t committed the crime of being on good terms with Donald Trump.

In 2018, then-President Trump nominated Jackson to be Veteran Affairs secretary, but reports of his conduct led to Jackson withdrawing himself from nomination. Jackson retired from the Navy in 2019 and the next year won the House seat in Texas that was left open by Rep. Mac Thornberry’s retirement
Okay. You asked if they “screwed up”. You do realize it was planned, not a “screw up”, don’t you? You don’t know about what actually happened to General Flynn. I could help you understand, but don’t see it as a useful expenditure of my time.
I spent a great deal of time looking at that particular set of events around General Flynn, so I know what I speak of.
Again. It was not a “screw up”. It was a planned and executed operation by the Obama White House against Flynn.

We saw their protection of Communists as far back as the 1930’s. We saw it with Whittaker Chambers who was targeted by the Truman Administration because he spoke out about Alger Hiss.
We saw it practiced against Joseph McCarthy in his quest to make public the presence of Soviet agents and sympathizers in the US Government and military.
We saw it practiced against Barry Goldwater, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and we saw it practiced against Trump and all those around him.
That is why it matters, and why I bring it up in the context of Admiral Jackson.
