We haven’t heard much about the hostages. What horrors have they been subjected to since their capture? It’s 5 months now.
What in hell kind of people would capture men, women and children, abuse them, kill some of them, rape them, throw them into an underground hell-chamber with no contact with the outside world?
It’s possible that any hostages that are still alive, if any, will never be released, because of the stories they will tell. Even if they’re largely ignored, some will listen to them.
