It might all be a psyOps story, designed for some purpose we have no inkling of. Personally I take a lot of these types of stories with a grain of salt.

I did a Google search on 3 of the suspect names, if indeed those are the real names. Anyway, 2 of the suspects came back with zip, nada. However, one name, Jadallah Abdallah did produce 2 Google hits:
