Maybe the judge will disregard the prosecution's recommendation and throw the book at him.

Once upon a time, we hanged traitors.

Unless he is kept in protective isolation he won't last 6 months.

Maybe the judge will disregard the prosecution's recommendation and throw the book at him. It's possible, but I won't hold my breathe.

If al Qaeda told this kid anything, they are even stupider than they appear at first glance. Of course this Johnnie Talibani was going to flip. It was just a matter of time.

He'll be lucky to escape death in prison...he'll need to be watched very closely by the guards or put in isolation somewhere.

Only 40 years... Read again. Only 20 years. That sucks worse.

Unless he is kept in protective isolation he won't last 6 months. Yeah...keep him with the child molestors...he will in all likelihood be about as popular.

Only 40 years...that sucks... Only 20 years... that sucks...squared.

So, basically, he'll be out on the college lecture circuit in 6-7 years. Nice.

The next MUMIA....sigh.

No, he has agreed to serve the full sentence...20 years.

The problem is that we don't want a lot of those people to testify. We screwed up when we decided to try this in a civil court. If this were a military court, he would have been sentenced by now (life in prison or even execution).
I hate to say this, but this lays at the doorstep of Bush, because I think he's the one that gave final okay to try him as a civilian (I think).
But the good news is that reporter didn't have to testify. I think he may have been a gov't agent and that's why we gave Johnny Boy an easy plea bargain.

Taliban Johnny is doing the latest dance craze of the imprisoned al Qaeda thugs, the "
FLIPPING AND ROLLING OVER YOUR ISLAMAKAZI BROS!" routine to avoid what could happen when some really bad evidence is presented at trial.
It might be time for the al Qaeda thugs, al Fuqra thugs and the Black Muslim thugs in America to go to Mexico, Canada or some other place.

No, he has agreed to serve the full sentence...20 years. 20 years of hard labor might be a start...no music, no women, nothing but bread and water to eat and drink...wait!...nah...sounds too much like life under the Taliban.

So he turns on his former allies to save his sorry hide. What a weak kneed coward this man really is.
