DRAKESBAD -- An experiment at Dream Lake in Lassen Volcanic National Park may demonstrate how eager beavers really are -- and how smart.
Park officials recently installed three flexible pipes in a spillway at the half-acre lake near Drakesbad Guest Ranch, at the park's southern entrance through Warner Valley.

Just the name Lassen brings back memories. My dad worked on the Lassen National and I've been through the park I don't know how many times. Lived in Susanville at the time.
