I've just come from church so disgusted it's unbelievable.
Too much to type here, but I'm in tears. Eucharistic adoration? Hah! We just got a new priest who is changing everything. Our church is now just like the local university church with it's 'new' music and eucharistic ministers in their street clothes (some of the look like they've just come from grocery shopping). Until recently, the ushers came forward and along with the rest of the church, kneeled in adoration before the elevation of the Lord in the form of bread and wine. Today, that changed. It may seem like a small thing, but to me it symbolized another chip in the breaking down of the Church. How far do we have to go before His church is completely unrecognizable as the Church our fathers passed down to us?! Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, and we don't even have Stations of the Cross scheduled on Friday!!

Sorry for the rant! I'm hurting terribly from this. At this point, I fully understand why some choose to join an SSPX Church.

Unfortunately, I don't see Eucharistic adoration in my parish once a month, let alone weekly.

**Unfortunately, I don't see Eucharistic adoration in my parish once a month, let alone weekly.**

Maybe you can find a church that has Eucharistic Adoration. Of the five churches in our vicariate (deanery) there is one that has 24/7 Adoration.

Prayers for you.

I've never heard of Hospitality Ministers coming forward to kneel at the Consecration. The ones at our church reserve a back pew so that they can be close to the vestibule for greeting, bringing the gifts forward and passing out bulletins at the end of Mass. Sheir back pew, they always knelt in adoration during the Consecration.

If things are crowded at Christmas and Easter -- our Hopsitality Ministers are on their knees in the back of the Church during the Consecration!

Lord, forgive me! LOL!

I forgot one of the duties of the Hospitality Ministers!

Taking up the collection!

Please don't give up!!!
The move is to more "Historically Catholic" parishes. Go to the forums on Catholic Answers.

http://www.catholic.com

Ask there for a more orthodox parish. Someone will help you.

People are clamoring for the "Ole Tyme" Catholic parishes. Ours in MI has Latin and Greek, genuflecting, kneeling for communion by intinction, Corpus Christi, May Crowning and Benediction. Talk with your feet and move your money. Go where you feel comfortable. You don't have to go SSPX if you don't want to. Go Eastern Rite or FSSP.

The good parishes are out there. We just try to lay low so no one stops us. Mine has doubled the amount of families in three year and is still growing.
