Friend after reading you response, I can only say you are blind when it comes to the Bible. You need to spend more time there than here. Your lack of knowledge of the Scriptures is apparent.

Mormons aren’t bad people. They just worship a false prophet. Jesus is second place. They haven’t started to blow stuff up yet in the name of Smith.

You have a religion you have made up that pleases your sensibilities, it is NOT the religion God would have you to enjoy, and it definitely isn't going to lead you where you want to be at the end of your life.

Judgin' me?

With your own made up religion.

You people are a laugh.

You like the song?

You are correct in that. I know and served in the military with Morman soldiers. They were good folks. Just blind to the Gospel concerning Jesus Christ.

How's it going?

"IT/TRUTH" ALWAYS was and ALWAYS will be and ALWAYS will remain the same.

It's not going anywhere.

IT is the GREAT 'I AM' not a book.

I’m pretty sure you know we sing the same ones that you do.

Respectfully, will you be taking a break from Follow the Prophet and Praise to the Man?

LDS Hymn 103
"Praise to the Man"

Praise to the man who communed with Jehovah!
Jesus annointed that Prophet and Seer.
Blessed to open the last dispensation,
Kings shall extol him, and nations revere.

Chorus
Hail to the Prophet, ascended to heaven!
Traitors and tyrants now fight him in vain.
Mingling with Gods, he can plan for his brethren;
Death cannot conquer the hero again.

Praise to his mem'ry, he died as a martyr;
Honored and blest be his ever great name!
Long shall his blood, which was shed by assasins,
Plead unto heav'n while the earth lauds his fame.

Chorus

Great is his glory and endless his priesthood.
Ever and ever the keys he will hold.
Faithful and true he will enter his kingdom,
Crowned in the midst of the prophets of old.

Chorus

Sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven;
Earth must atone for the blood of that man.
Wake up the world for the conflict of justice.
Millions shall know 'Brother Joseph' again.

Because I don't think anyone other than Mormons sing praises to Joseph Smith, Jr. And in particular we don't sing that earth must atone for the blood of Joseph Smith, Jr.

And I don't think anyone else but Mormons celebrate Smithmas.

"Years ago a child was born in an obscure village to poor parents residing in a dwelling they did not own but one that was made available to them through the kindness of others. The child grew to be an extraordinary individual and though he died before his 40th birthday, he transformed the society and world in which he lived.

"Dec. 23 will mark the 207th anniversary of the birth of Joseph Smith Jr., the prophet of the Restoration. Joseph entered the world on a cold Monday morning in Sharon, Vt., shortly before the close of 1805."

That's from the LDS newspaper, the The Deseret News, earlier this week.

So it looks as if things are a *touch* different to somebody outside the LDS fold.

No one is left behind, and a lot of the hellfire and brimstone stuff is something out of a medieval nightmare. And as much as I despise Islam, we’re all walking down the same road. My Faith isn’t in a book. WHO says the Council of Nicaea got it right? IMO, The Holy Bible is just a version. Just like The Book of Mormon.

I'm not sure what you believe - if you believe in anything. maybe your emotions or how you'd like it to be. Pretty slim pickings to bet your soul on. It sounds like the "Reconciliation" message my grandfather believed. God was too merciful to send anyone to hell. It's a damnable lie that makes God out to be a liar. God either is or isn't. No two ways about it.

As with most non-believers, you've misused the term "Judging" in biblical terms.

Here is a scripture I bet you hadn't read before concerning "Judging".

1 John 4:1-3

1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Furthermore, the bible clearly calls Christians to Rebuke sin:

1 Timothy 5:20

20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

Mormonism is a wolf in sheep's clothing... SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES (John 5:39)

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing,
but inwardly they are ravening wolves
...
For such are FALSE apostles,
DECEITFUL workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.”

(Matthew 7:15; 2nd Corinthians 11:13).

No the LDS do not.

What Child is this is one not included in the LDS hymnal. Probably because it references the Cross.

They haven’t started to blow stuff up yet in the name of Smith.

Well, they gave us the first September 11 massacre of innocent U.S. citizens by religious zealots in a self-created theocracy, resulting in the U.S. military being called in to subdue them. But it was in 1857.

Jesus has brought many individuals to Himself through the diverse religions across this planet. That does not mean that all of those various practitioners were sent by Him, or that their dogmas are God approved.

Many of my father’s family are Mormon’s. But, I rejected the religion because it taught that if we are baptized for our ancestors they will go to Heaven.

I alone am responsible for my choices in life, good and bad. We are all given the choice of accepting Christ in our lifetime in many different ways. The Gospel has been spread throughout this world over the centuries and, IMHO, all have been touched by Him somehow.

There are Mormons who are Christians and will see the Kingdom of Heaven. The are also Christians, in name only, who do not “take up their cross and follow” and will not see the gates of Heaven.

I ain’t perfect. I rely on His justice and mercy only.

Some may not agree. So be it.
